About the job

SSA or nurse - SEE HERE!

Now you have the opportunity to become part of Parkhuset, the Alderslyst Residential Facility

Are you trained as an SSA or nurse and eager to work in the adult disability field? Do you want to contribute your health care competencies to a colleague group consisting of, among others, therapists, social care staff and health care staff, and are you ready to contribute to the shared task solving, then you have a rare opportunity to become part of our competent and well-functioning team!

We are seeking a trained SSA or nurse for a permanent position of about 37 hours/week, with mixed day and evening shifts, as well as every 3rd weekend.

Parkhuset is a newer residential facility for 12 adult residents with mental and physical developmental disabilities. The facility houses residents from 18-65 years and is organized in the Adult Disability section of the Social Department. Parkhuset is part of the Alderslyst Residential Facility, which is a 24-hour facility where most residents participate in daytime activity programs.

About the job

Residents' need for support is individual, and the support is organized through interdisciplinary efforts, based on self-determination, structure, security and care. We work from a guiding principle called “everything with the resident” as far as possible.

Needs for support may relate to communication, self-care, health care tasks, practical tasks and in social relations. All residents have an action plan where the goals help guide the daily work. As a health care staff member you have a special responsibility within health care tasks. You will participate on equal terms with other colleagues in the varied tasks with and around the residents.

There is an expectation that staff can help support professional approaches and methods. To this end we use KRAP, Sign to Speech, as well as social care and health care interventions as a platform for daily work.

We work in close collaboration with the residents' guardians/relatives, daytime activities, therapists and case managers to ensure a holistic approach.

We place a high value on the working environment, where the ability to dialogue and collaborate across disciplines is highly valued.

We work systematically with documentation and a structured approach to medication management and ensuring the residents' needs.

You are the right fit for the job if you

  • Have experience with health care tasks and practice.
  • Are engaged and positive in your approach to your fellow humans.

  • Focus on residents' resources and needs.
  • Can remain calm and have an overview, and act independently in the work.
  • Have go-ahead and a positive and appreciative view on life and humanity.
  • Hold a driving license

We can offer you

  • A thorough introduction to the house, the residents and the tasks.
  • A versatile workplace where we strive to create the best framework and conditions for the residents' lives and everyday life.
  • A life-affirming workplace with room for laughter and quality of life.
  • A diverse and exciting area of work with ample opportunities to develop yourself both professionally and personally.
  • Close collaboration with guardians and relatives.
  • Close collaboration with good colleagues in an interdisciplinary team.
