We are seeking a social and health care helper or a social and health care assistant for NV5, our sheltered unit at Birkevang Nursing Home in Herlufmagle.

With us, people with dementia live. Each has their own story, habits and way of showing what they need. Therefore, it matters that you are curious about the person behind the illness and have the patience to find out what creates security for the individual.

Our daily life

You will become part of a team where we help each other and talk about what is difficult. We place emphasis on professionalism, but also on humor, presence and the small moments that make a good day for our residents.

Your tasks will include helping with personal care and daily activities, supporting residents in what they can do themselves, and being attentive to changes in their well-being. You document your observations and collaborate with colleagues and other professional groups on the right actions.

We hope that you

• are trained as a social and health care helper or a social and health care assistant
• are keen to work with people with dementia
• meet the residents with respect, warmth and patience
• can take responsibility and at the same time reach out to your colleagues
• have an understanding that behavior can be a way of telling about a need
• want to help develop our daily life and workflows.

You don’t need many years of experience with dementia. The most important thing is that you want the job, are open to learning, and want to help create a safe daily life for the residents

Salary and terms of employment are in accordance with the applicable collective agreement between KL and FOA.

Start date on 1 December 2026 or as soon as possible.

Working time per week: 32 hours per week, you will be employed in mixed shifts and work every other weekend.
