About the job

Are you passionate about working in psychiatry and want to be part of a good work team, then you are the one we are looking for.

If you are a social and health care assistant, you are newly qualified or experienced, with a readiness for exciting challenges in a psychiatric specialty, then we have a vacant position at S2-28 Psychiatry South, Oringe, located in Vordingborg.

S2 is an integrated ward where we tailor care to the patient’s needs. We receive and treat patients aged 18-75 years with primarily diagnoses of schizophrenia and personality disorders.

You are part of a good professional and collegial work environment, where we strive for quality in nursing task fulfillment with a focus on continuous learning and competence development for the benefit of both inpatients and staff.

You are in a professionally qualified ward, with a trusting atmosphere, characterized by mutual respect and job satisfaction in the care and treatment of patients, and with a focus on knowledge sharing and learning through reflection, in close collaboration with a psychiatrist, psychologist, doctors, physiotherapists and occupational therapists, secretary, etc.

Together with your colleagues, you help arrange a holistic and recovery-oriented approach, treatment and care that includes the patient’s history and experienced problems. We use an environmental therapeutic reference framework, as well as Safewards to reduce coercion.

You collaborate in a fixed contact team for four patients, where accessibility and completeness in the treatment course, including involvement and contact with relatives, district psychiatry and social services, are essential for a good patient journey.

You contribute to a daily life with a high activity level, where an overview plays a role and where you, with empathy and composure, also handle unforeseen situations.

What can we bring to each other?

You safeguard and value our good working environment through sparring, and with your experience you share your knowledge with us in professional reflection and mutual respect. You believe, as we do, that this approach creates a good starting point for the necessary trust and security in the department, and you have influence and autonomy in your tasks.

We welcome you to an introduction period with a fixed mentor after onboarding concepts, based on your professional and personal qualifications and competencies. You will be met by a management that prioritizes visibility and presence, and works for well-being in the staff group.

You will meet nursing students and SSA (Social and Health Assistant) students in the department, and with your contribution you will help create and maintain a healthy learning environment for future potential colleagues and the department as a whole.

In the department we continuously work on improving and renewing workflows, and depending on your interests and competencies, you will have the opportunity to participate in this work, just as you have the opportunity to participate in regular course activities and training when possible.

You do not necessarily have psychiatric experience, but you have great curiosity and a deep interest in exploring the area, preferably in a welcoming and inspiring environment.

It is aimed that working hours are planned according to individual needs so that privacy and work-life balance are safeguarded.
