About Kvindeherberget Bocentret Sundholm

Bocentret is the City of Copenhagen’s shelter for women and has space for 49 residents.

Bocentret is a sheltered shelter for women in vulnerable life situations. We work to stabilize and assess the women's situation and support them further to suitable housing.

Our residents may have complex social issues, substance use, psychiatric challenges and other health-related challenges. It requires a professional and caring approach, where we meet each woman with respect and understanding of her situation.

About the work

As a night worker you will be part of the work to create safety and support for the women at the shelter. You must be able to meet women who are in vulnerable and emotionally fragile situations, and contribute to a calm and stable framework around their daily lives.

Your tasks will among other things be to

• support and be available to the women during night hours
• handle situations that may arise during the night
• document relevant information about the residents
• take care of practical tasks during the night hours
• contribute to a safe environment for the residents and good collaboration with colleagues

We expect that you

• have an interest in working with homeless women and women in vulnerable life situations
• can meet people in emotionally vulnerable situations with respect and care
• have an understanding that residents may have substance use, psychiatric challenges and other health-related issues
• can maintain an overview even when busy
• can document relevant observations and incidents
• are willing to undertake practical tasks during night hours

Employer terms

Salary and terms of employment follow the applicable collective agreement between KL and the relevant professional organization.

We are seeking a social-professional night worker for a maternity leave temporary position of 30 hours per week.

The work consists of night shifts from 23:00 to 07:30 on the described duty days from Monday to Sunday in odd weeks.

Start date is December 1, 2026 or as soon as possible thereafter.

Please note that some residents have pets at Bocentret.
