Social educator for 24-hour care – Søborg

Our work community

In House 26 there are 10 residents aged 25 to 66. The pedagogical support is very individualized, tailored to each person’s needs for care and assistance and with a focus on the resident’s well-being and opportunity for development. 2 of the residents use wheelchairs. In our work we base ourselves on the neuro-pedagogical framework, the zone of proximal development and have initiated the implementation of LA2U.

We work to secure the residents' right to live a good life with co-determination, involvement, democracy, safety and well-being. We have a daily life where we make room for different types of activities, such as baking, outdoor activities and cooking. In addition we have chickens, a cat and aquarium fish, which we support the residents in taking care of.

We are happy with traditions both new and old. And in our work we focus on the residents’ connection to the Deaf environment and culture.

We work from a 12-week basic plan with rotating work schedules, including a fixed weekly evening shift and work every other weekend.

Sign language is our common language

Sign language is the residents' mother tongue and our common language. It is therefore a clear advantage if you can sign or have experience with visual communication. However, it is not a prerequisite. But if you don’t already know it, you must be prepared to learn it through CFD's internal sign language training.
