Social educators and educational assistants for Solbo

We are ambitious and therefore seeking social educators and pedagogical assistants who enjoy playing and moving and who want to be the meaningful adults for 1-2 children/young people

At Solbo we aim for a permanent staff and to minimize the use of temporary workers. It is best for the children/young people and the work environment.

Who are you?

You are authentic, clear and ambitious. You are a social educator or pedagogical assistant and want to make a difference for the children at Solbo.

You contribute to our strong sense of teamwork, where job satisfaction and a good working environment characterize daily life.

You will become part of a fixed team around 1-2 children/young people. The children/young people need calm adults who, with a mentalizing approach, are able to see beyond the behavior.

About Solbo

Solbo is a special educational day-and-night unit and respite care for children under 18 years old. We belong to the Children and Family section in Silkeborg Municipality. At Solbo, 10 children and youths live who are all placed outside the home.

What the children have in common is that they have pervasive developmental disorders, primarily with autistic traits, and mild to severe mental retardation.

Their functional level varies, and they may have problematic/outwardly reactive behavior when they become overwhelmed.

High professionalism brings real-world relevance

The children have a strong need for predictability in the form of structure and recognizability combined with stable relationships in daily life. They need you who will them, have the experience, ballast and belief that you are the one who can make a difference for precisely these children and youths.

We work with autism pedagogy, Low Arousal, sensorimotor integration and alternative communication.

In 2026 we will join a development program with Autism focus in Region Midt, where teaching, supervision and reflection become a natural part of daily life. You will be part of that development from your first day at work.

We have a special focus on ensuring a good introduction with teaching, a mentor system, supervision and continuous follow-up. The introduction period is intense for the first 3 weeks and then continues in the form of ongoing teaching, sparring, follow-up with focus on your learning.

• You are a trained pedagogue or have another relevant education e.g. PAU and have an interest in the special area
• You are a passionate person who will help develop the children/young people to be able to master their own life and participate in communities in due course

• You will give the children/young people the greatest possible influence on their own life through communication systems
• With a basis in daily life you can work targeted and structured with documentation and sub-goal work

• You are reliable in attendance
• You perform health-care / care tasks
• You can work fixed every other weekend
• You have a driving license

Salary and employment terms are according to the applicable collective agreement and local pay agreement.

There are four positions, 37 hours per week on average with day and evening work, and with the possibility of part-time if you wish.
