Integrated program (when you have a high school background)

When you are employed on an shortened integrated program, it starts with Basic Course 2 (takes 8 weeks) and moves on to the Main Course.

What does the job involve?

Social and health care assistant apprentices work with people – for example in home care, at care facilities, in psychiatry and in hospitals.

What does the education involve?

The training alternates between on-the-job training and classroom study. During the education you gain important knowledge about nursing and care, as well as skills that prepare you to help people in the best possible way. You work with rehabilitation and gain tools to plan activities that promote good health and prevent illnesses.

You learn to administer medicine to the citizen and document the nursing you perform.

At school you learn about anatomy, physiology, pharmacology and pathology, as well as the connection between lifestyle and disease. You receive instruction in hygiene and infection prevention.

When you are employed on an integrated program, it starts with Basic Course 2 (takes 8 weeks) and then continues to the Main Course. There may also be an opportunity to start directly on a Main Course.

Residence permit

Remember to attach a valid residence permit + a copy of your residence card — FRONT AND BACK, as this is a requirement to be considered for a place.

Important dates

• Integrated shortened programs start on April 21, 2027

You can expect a reply to the application on 25/2-27 and interviews will be held on 24/2-27, in cases where there is a need for further questions.
