At the Children and Youth Center, Norddjurs (BUCN) we are seeking a dedicated social educator for our youth department Plus2 with a start date of January 1, 2027.

Who are we?

The Children and Youth Center, Norddjurs (BUCN) is a flexible 24-hour and relief care service with a focus on quality, professionalism and effectiveness in task execution. We collaborate across disciplines around vulnerable children and young people and have an increased focus on ensuring that they are included in their own placement process.

Our pedagogical foundation is built on shared values, professional approaches and methods that form the basis for our work with the young people. As a new employee you will receive a thorough introduction through our onboarding program, so you are well prepared for the task.

The target group

You will work with young people aged 12 to 18 with the possibility of youth support up to age 23. The youths may be affected by neglect, attachment difficulties, school absence and social challenges. Some youths may be at risk of crime or have experiences with substance abuse and self-harming behavior.

Common to them is the need for stable relationships, clear adults and a daily life characterized by structure, care and safety.

The core task

Our work consists of care-, relationship- and treatment-oriented social pedagogy both in practice and through professional reflection. We work systematically with documentation, evaluation and development to ensure high quality in the intervention.

• Would preferably have experience with neglected or attachment-disordered children and young people
• Have a driving license

We would like to point out that a high level of conflict can occur from time to time. Therefore it is important that you can work professionally and de-escalate conflicts. We emphasize understanding the context behind behavior rather than the behavior itself.

Working hours

We work year-round and at all times of the day. In Plus2 you participate in weekend shifts every third weekend, and there may be work on public holidays and during vacation periods.

Salary and terms of employment

Employment and remuneration are in accordance with the applicable collective agreement between SL and KL and the Ny Løn principles. We strive for a work-life balance and have therefore entered into a local agreement with SL - the local agreement.
