Are you independent, structured and analytical, and would you like to join an ambitious team of skilled and engaged colleagues with a high-spirited atmosphere? Then perhaps you are the person we need as our new student assistant.

As a student assistant in the budget office you will be part of Randers Municipality's central finance department, where you will be continuously involved in a range of the department's tasks – both operational and development tasks. The job involves a large amount of contact surface, as we in the department often collaborate across offices and administrations.

The position as student assistant includes, among other things, collecting and processing data in connection with the department's ongoing projects and analysis work. In addition, the position also comprises other tasks, such as smaller writing tasks, controlling and follow-up, light case handling, insight into council work, etc.

If you have the right skills and the right mindset, you can help shape your working day and the tasks you are involved in.

Skills and profile

We expect that you

  • are currently pursuing a relevant social science higher education, preferably with at least one year of study remaining,
  • have interest and flair for numbers and economic contexts,
  • are an experienced user of Microsoft Excel and are willing to be trained as a user of our financial system,
  • have good analytical skills and can articulate data and analyses,
  • are thorough, structured and independent,
  • have a high spirit and good collaboration skills,
  • approach task solving with great commitment, even when there are times with low-practical tasks.

We offer

  • a varied job with a large amount of contact across the entire finance department - and also the rest of the municipality,
  • good opportunities for professional and personal development and to gain a thorough understanding of what it entails to work in a central finance function at a large public workplace,
  • meaningful and varied tasks, where you are involved in projects but also have your own,
  • a high degree of flexibility, where to a large extent you will have the opportunity to arrange your working days to fit with your studies,
  • skilled and friendly colleagues and a casual work environment with plenty of space, where you join on equal terms with your colleagues.

Salary and employment terms

Salary and employment terms are determined in accordance with the applicable collective agreement with the relevant trade union.

The workplace is Randers Municipality's administration building on Laksetorvet in Randers. Organizationally you will be part of the budget office, which reports to the municipality's deputy city director.

If possible, we would like you to start on 1 December 2026. The working time will be an average of 10-15 hours per week. The working hours can be adjusted to fit your studies as well as possible.
