Social-work job broker at the Center for the Labour Market

Would you like to collaborate with citizens who need several parallel interventions in order to return to the labor market? Then the Holistic Section (Helhedsafsnittet) in Ballerup Municipality might be for you.

We are looking for a social-professional job facilitator to work with citizens who need coordinated interventions to enter the labor market.

Together with the rest of the team, your task will be to base your work on the citizen's own resources, wishes and interests, in conjunction with the possibilities of the local labor market. The citizens we work with in the Holistic Section can receive different forms of welfare, including cash benefits and the resource programme benefit.

You must be willing to expand the governance task with the interventions the job calls for. You must therefore be ready to both seek out, initiate and follow up on company-oriented interventions and paid hours, and support the citizen's life management.

Your main tasks

• Support citizens in getting closer to the labor market through conversations and company-oriented interventions
• Assist citizens in their job search and support them in believing that there is room for everyone in the work community and other meaningful communities
• Identify the citizen's competencies and development opportunities, and support that the citizen can deploy these in the labor market through relevant employment-oriented interventions
• Work in a coordinating and multidisciplinary manner with citizens who have complex challenges, where you have an eye for the citizen's employment-related, health-related and social situation and to involve relevant partners (e.g., addiction center, social services, etc.)
• Collaborate with companies.

Your competencies

• You are willing to work with citizens' hopes and dreams of getting closer to the labor market and into a job
• You like to spar and reflect with others and can see the value in working across professional and sector boundaries, believe that success is best achieved in a collective, and that you lend a helping hand to a colleague when needed
• You have an educational background within the social-professional field, e.g., social worker or social facilitator, or have relevant experience within the employment area
• You have knowledge of the labor market and employment laws, or wish to obtain this knowledge
• You have the ability to organize, structure and plan tasks systematically, and prioritize a high level of documentation and data discipline
• You have good relational and trust-building skills
• You have experience using the professional systems in the employment field. We work with FASIT and VITAS.
• You have a driving license.

Who are we

The team is anchored in the Holistic Section, which besides the Holistic Job Initiative also includes social guidance and social-pedagogical adult interventions. The section is linked to a common section manager.

We are a team consisting of 21 employees.

We work closely with IPS consultants as well as company consultants.

We believe there is room for even more in Denmark's largest community, and that we succeed best if we work closely together.

Since 1 April 2024, Ballerup Municipality has chosen to combine social and employment efforts. The Holistic Section is part of the Center for Social and Labor Market, and the section handles a wide range of tasks within both employment and social areas.

Ballerup Municipality is far advanced with integrated citizen pathways, and in close cooperation with the social area you will become part of a collegial community across the entire municipality.

Employment process and salary

The position is to be filled as soon as possible, when the right new colleague is found.

We hold interviews as we receive applications.

The position is, as a rule, 37 hours and a permanent appointment.

Ballerup Municipality has a flexitime arrangement.

We offer salary and terms of employment according to the collective agreement for social workers and social facilitators and administration and IT etc. in municipalities and according to principles of local pay formation and in agreement with the negotiating party organization.

The salary range for the position as social worker is 36,208 DKK – 39,577 DKK per month (37 hours)

The salary range for the position as social facilitator is 36,485 DKK – 39,577 DKK per month (37 hours)

The salary range for the position as HK, administration is 35,196 DKK – 39,577 DKK per month (37 hours)

The salary depends on a negotiation between the manager and the trade union with the negotiating rights for the applicable collective agreement.

The composition of the salary depends on your education, documented seniority and qualifications. We require a criminal record check.
