  • Wonderful colleagues who contribute to high professionalism and a good atmosphere
  • Flexitime arrangement and good opportunities for home working

One of our colleagues says about their own start

” Despite experience from two other municipalities, I have never experienced such a well-structured onboarding. The thorough intro program gave me great professional and organizational insight and secured a solid foundation for a strong collegial community.”

A bit about us

In Special Advisory we specialize in working with children and young people with physical and/or mental functional impairments. We are currently 19 child and youth social workers, two professional coordinators, a section head and two students.

Our focus in the work is, in close collaboration with the family and other relevant actors, to ensure good and holistic interventions. We have a broad competence area, including disability-compensating services (lost earning capacity, compensation allowance, maintenance training, relief/rest, personal and practical help, accompaniment and home training, etc.) as well as early preventive and supportive interventions for vulnerable children and young people. Additionally, we work purposefully to become hundred-meter masters in child involvement.

We have high ambitions and want to continue our development of task solving, professionalism and the work community, and we are proud of everything we have already achieved together. In us you will find a strong professional community and colleagues with good humor and great social and professional engagement.

You will have regular case reviews and good opportunities for concrete sparring, both with experienced colleagues, the immediate professional leader and departmental lawyers, just as a financial officer helps with first-time calculations regarding lost earning capacity.

We currently have a low caseload of about 20 cases depending on case complexity and competencies. As a new employee you can naturally expect a substantially lower caseload in a start-up period, adjusted to your experience and competence level.

Special Advisory is part of the Family Department consisting of four sections; Prevention 1, 2 and 3, and the Fostering Team. We have a Receiving Duty that, for example, handles all 24-hour assessments of notifications. In addition, there is a Professional Center with our administrative staff, development consultant and two departmental lawyers. We are therefore well equipped for the generally increasing caseload in the department and our ambitions for continued professional development.

We are an organization that has undergone substantial development in recent years, with high professionalism, clear workflows, systematic and legally compliant operations, establishment of a common methodology and culture, and not least development of cross-disciplinary cooperation, which remains at the forefront. This also means that you will participate in exciting competency development activities that will ensure you further develop your professional competencies as a child and youth social worker.

A bit about you

We are looking for new colleagues who are trained social workers. If you have experience with the disability-compensating provisions, that is a big plus. If you are newly trained and passionate about the field and professional development, that is also a big plus. It is an advantage if you know the ICS method, Signs of Safety (SOS) and the professional system DUBU, but otherwise you will naturally receive the necessary onboarding.

It is essential that you are willing to take co-responsibility for a strong working community with high professionalism and good humor in the foreground. You should be able to work in an inclusive and solution-oriented way, and have a constructive approach to families and cross-professional cooperation.

It is also a necessary qualification that you are good at communicating concisely, clearly and in a user-friendly manner both in writing and orally, can work in a structured and systematic way, and are good at maintaining overview and focus.

If you have particular competencies or areas of interest you would like to specialize in, e.g., home training or similar, it will also be possible by concrete agreement to tailor your tasks in connection with your employment.

Want to know more?

If you want to know more, you are welcome to contact Section Head Karina Sørensen, phone 28 98 36 38 or Professional Coordinator Tanja Brøndum, phone 28 98 35 45.

Salary and employment terms

Salary and employment terms are negotiated according to the Ny løn principles. In addition to the salary grade placement, there is a child and youth allowance amounting to about 2,500 DKK per month. Please note that criminal and child protection background checks will be conducted before employment. Working hours are 37 hours per week with a flextime arrangement.

Application deadline and interviews

The positions are expected to start on December 1, 2026 or earlier.

The application deadline is Sunday, October 25, and we expect to hold interviews on Tuesday, October 27, 2026.
