Social worker sought for the self-governing institution Hyttefadet

Hyttefadet is a shelter in Holstebro that is open Monday to Friday from 8:30 AM to 3:30 PM. Our target group is socially vulnerable citizens from the town, who here at the shelter can enjoy a meal and become part of a community. We offer work in an exciting and challenging environment, where well-being and collaboration with good colleagues play an important role. For users of Hyttefadet, you must be at least 25 years old to be allowed to come here.

Your tasks

Your tasks vary between practical tasks such as cooking, cleaning and socializing with the users. We emphasize that you are a mature person, preferably with relevant education and/or experience from similar work, which you can contribute. We expect that you can be professional in the work and at the same time able to meet people at eye level with respect, care and preferably a good portion of humor.

Therefore we are seeking an employee who

• is open-minded toward “eccentric existences”
• has a positive attitude and good ability to collaborate
• can work independently and take responsibility for what needs to be done
• has good listening skills
• is open and honest

As an employee you have confidentiality regarding the users. Since many of our users are smokers, you must be prepared to work in an environment with quite a bit of smoke. Users are allowed to bring and drink their own beer and wine, as long as they do not disturb others.
