Social-pedagogical educator for the Youth Dormitories

We are looking for a social-educational pedagogue with great engagement who is passionate about making a difference for young people who need professional support.

About us

Ungehyblerne is part of the Children and Youth Department, which is a joint children and youth area in Halsnæs municipality. Here we work across professions to improve the well-being of vulnerable young people.

Your most important task will be to support the young person’s well-being, development and learning - in close collaboration with the young person and through social-pedagogical professional skills and targeted interventions. We are ambitious about strengthening the young person’s ability to master an independent adult life in their own home.

With us we prioritise a holistic approach, where key elements include a mentalizing-based and validating approach.

Ungehyblerne is Halsnæs Municipality's residential facility for young people aged 15-22 who need support to transition well into adulthood. We have room for 22 young people, primarily spread across two premises.

Your tasks

We are a dedicated staff group of seven employees with broad experience within the social-pedagogical field. The work mainly consists of supporting the young people to attend school/complete education and to acquire skills to manage in their own home, as well as to develop themselves despite a challenging childhood/upbringing.

Around half of the working time is self-planned in relation to the needs of the young people, which provides a high degree of flexibility in the work. Together with your colleagues you will engage in partnerships, where, based on the young person’s resources and wishes, you work systematically, focused and targeted so that they reach their development goals.

As part of the pedagogical approach, we use nature, among other things, and it is an advantage if you have experience with or an interest in this.

• You have strong relational competences.
• You are professionally grounded and can translate theory into pedagogical practice.
• You can work independently but also collaborate with colleagues and partners.
• You can collaborate systematically with the young people on the goals that are set.
• You have good written skills.
• You enjoy movement and using nature in the work with the young people.
• You have humor and contribute to a positive working environment.
• You are strong in using Low Arousal.
• You work from a relationship-pedagogical approach.

About the process

The position starts on 1 December 2026.

Salary

We offer an attractive salary package according to the applicable collective agreement.

At the lowest base pay level the total salary is about 39,000 DKK per month ex. pension. The salary consists of base pay and base pay supplements as well as hardship allowances according to the entered pre-agreement.

In addition, there is the possibility of qualification and function supplements depending on your experience, competencies and functions in the position.

The position is 37 hours with planned day and evening shifts and weekend duty every 5th weekend.

We obtain a child and criminal record certificate.
