The positions are planned for 37 hours per week. Working hours will primarily be during the day, and you can safely take time off on weekends and holidays.

WHAT WILL I DO?

As a social work advisor you provide social-educational support under the Social Services Act §85, and here you become an important part of the citizen’s everyday life. Each citizen has their own unique story, where challenges range widely and involve social and psychological issues. We meet citizens who primarily need us to be their anchor in a difficult everyday life. The support is based on the individual citizen’s needs, resources and goals.

You will work both inside and outside the citizen’s home, with the support they need to master life on their own terms. The target group is broad and includes citizens with vulnerable and mental health challenges as well as cognitive and executive function impairments, who want support to manage daily life that can be complicated by schizophrenia, autism spectrum disorders, substance misuse, or additional diagnoses such as anxiety and depression, etc.

Your most important task is not to have all the answers, but to be curious, listening and professionally strong – and in collaboration with the citizen figure out what can move them a step further. Some days are planned and other days require you to think quickly, prioritize and find a new path or bridge to a solid foundation with regard to the citizen’s wishes, hopes and dreams.

WHO WILL I BECOME A PART OF?

You will become part of the Social Intervention Team, which consists of 12 social work advisors delivering §85 services, including a §99 service, a homelessness unit, flexible support and a joint departmental manager. We work with citizens from 18 years and up. Our strength is that we are all different, passionate about our profession and take responsibility together. We have a high professional ambition and work purposefully to develop the professional quality of our services.

We believe development happens through collaboration, where we actively use each other and are listening and providing professional reflections. We support and challenge each other with room for plenty of laughter.

OUR PROFESSIONAL FOUNDATION

Our professional foundation is based on recovery-oriented rehabilitation. We use approaches such as LA2, Open Dialogue and CHIME. In addition, we use FIT as a qualification of the collaboration with the citizen.

We document in CURA and work according to VUM 2.0.

Social Intervention Team is part of the Center for Social Efforts & Development, which consists of an Activity Team, a Shelter Team, Advisory and Social Interventions in authority, as well as an administration.

We collaborate across the different departments and units.

• Are educated as social educator or SOSU assistant
• Have experience with the target groups
• Want to work from a value base that takes as its starting point the citizen’s own goals, and where the approach is recovery-oriented and rehabilitative
• Are listening and approachable for both citizens and colleagues and have good cooperation skills both internally and externally in the team
• Can contribute positively and energetically to ongoing development in the Social Intervention Team and actively contribute to a healthy and good work environment
• Thrive working independently and planning your own workday, with variation in the work and be able to come in to an unpredictable everyday life

AND PROFESSIONALLY

• Have experience with development and progression in collaboration with citizens who are challenged both physically and mentally
• Have knowledge of and experience with recovery- and rehabilitative approaches and can translate this into action in the work with the citizen – can see the value in receiving ongoing feedback on the collaboration with the citizen through FIT
• Have experience with the vulnerable target groups and have a solid basic knowledge of diagnoses and symptoms of mental distress
• Are good at structuring your work and thrive working independently
• Have strong communication skills, both written and spoken, and are used to documenting the efforts
