Your role

As a social educator you will be an important adult in the young person’s everyday life where the young person’s eating disorders guide the everyday life.

You will have a central role in creating structure, stability and safety, while supporting the young person’s development and participation in communities.

Your tasks will include

• Creating safe, predictable and developmentally beneficial frameworks.
• Building and maintaining strong professional relationships with children and young people.
• Supporting well-being, development and independence.
• Working purposefully with individual action plans and development goals.
• Documenting and evaluating the pedagogical efforts.
• Collaborating with parents, relatives, authorities, schools and other partners.
• Contributing actively to professional reflection, sparring and development of practice.

We are looking for you who

• Are trained as a social educator or have another relevant social scientific education.
• Have experience with or an interest in working with children and young people in vulnerable positions.
• Can create relationships characterized by trust, clarity and presence.
• Work in a structured way and can translate professional goals into practice.
• Are robust, reflective and academically curious.
• Have good collaboration skills and thrive in a cross-disciplinary environment.
• Can articulate yourself professionally both orally and in writing.
• Have knowledge of or an interest in a trauma-informed approach, mentalization and Low Arousal.
• Are aware of what it entails to be alone in a solo placement
• Have a driving license

Practical information

The position is 37 hours per week and involves work according to a duty roster every day of the week - primarily night shifts.

Salary and employment terms are in accordance with the applicable collective agreement and qualifications.
