Software Engineer

TRESU is an international, leading producer of custom flexographic printing presses and advanced automation solutions for the global packaging industry. From the headquarters in Kolding, TRESU develops and delivers complex machine systems to customers worldwide.

As part of increased activity and a strategic focus on more advanced automation, TRESU is strengthening the automation department with an experienced software engineer. You report to the Head of Automation, and you will join a team with high professional standards, close collaboration and extensive interaction with projects, service and the rest of the organization.

Your daily work will be varied and alternate between software development, technical sparring, project work, troubleshooting and commissioning - both internally and closely with the solutions that must operate for the customer. The position involves about 40–60 travel days per year, primarily related to commissioning and customer support.

You can look forward to the following responsibilities

• Development and programming of software for complex machine systems and automation solutions
• PLC and motion programming as well as software and system design
• Participation in projects from startup to commissioning and handover to the customer
• Development and standardization of TRESU's software platforms
• Technical sparring and collaboration with Engineering, Service, Project Managers, Product Owners, Service and external partners
• Troubleshooting and support on existing machine systems

We imagine that you

• Have solid experience with PLC programming and motion control, as well as strong skills in Siemens TIA Portal
• Experience with WinCC / Unified HMI, as well as knowledge of Rockwell, B&R and PACK-ML standard
• Have a good understanding of electrical, hardware, mechanics and the interaction in complex machine systems
• Work analytically, structured and independently and thrive on solving complex technical problems
• Have the perspective to look beyond the individual task and contribute to the whole, standardization and the long-term development of automation solutions
• Are engaged, curious and motivated to actively contribute to both solutions and the team's development
• Contribute actively to collaboration and knowledge sharing and thrive in a role with broad contact interface

Your educational background could be, for example, an engineer, marine engineer, automation technologist, automation technician or similar. You command Danish and English at a good technical level.
