Sonographer for pregnancy scans

Midwife or nurse, 32–37 hours per week in the heart of Copenhagen

Would you like to use your ultrasound skills in a clinic where pregnancy scans are a central part of daily life, and where you also have the opportunity to work with independent consultations in general practice?

Practice midwife is seeking a sonographer for our clinic at Lægerne på Strøget in Copenhagen. You are a midwife with experience in obstetric ultrasound. The position can be adapted from 32 to 37 hours per week, depending on your wishes. We would like you to be able to work one day a week in our clinic in Hillerød.

You will become part of a professionally strong team with a focus on safety, professional thoroughness, and a good experience for patients.

• Reassurance scans
• Gender scans

At Lægerne på Strøget we work closely with general practice. This provides good collaboration between doctors, midwives and other staff around the patients. We have modern equipment and prioritize ample time for each individual.

Your tasks

Depending on your experience, your tasks will include

• Pregnancy scans throughout pregnancy
• Fertility-related ultrasound scans
• Information and counseling for pregnant people
• NIPT programs
• Contraception counseling and IUD insertion, if you are a midwife
• Antenatal examinations and pregnancy care in general practice
• Consultations for common gynecological and lower abdominal issues
• Cervical cytology
• Child examinations and guidance for parents
• Other independent consultations and health professional tasks in general practice
• Charting and documentation

• Are a midwife with experience as a sonographer
• Have experience with obstetric ultrasound and wish for a daily life with more varied work
• Are keen to also work with relevant tasks in general practice
• Work independently and thoroughly
• Meet patients with calm, presence and empathy
• Have good collaboration skills
• Are familiar with IT and electronic charting

Working hours

• 32–37 hours per week
• Day, afternoon and early evening shifts
• Weekend shifts by agreement
• We particularly need a colleague who can work some afternoons and evenings

Working hours are planned in dialogue.
