About the job

The Sorø Municipality's Nursing Service is seeking a new nursing colleague.

  • Are you passionate about interdisciplinary collaboration and have a rehabilitative mindset?
  • Can you see yourself as a nurse in the citizen's own home with focus on the citizen's everyday life/health issues?
  • Do you enjoy working in small teams and are you a cheerful and positive team player with a good sense of humor?

Then this position is for you!

The specialty team is seeking a nurse in a permanent position 32 hours/week with varying shifts, day shifts (8-16), evening shifts (12-20) and 1 weekend shift every 6 weeks (time window 8-18). You can expect about 1 evening shift per week.

You must thrive in a daily life where plans change quickly, depending on discharges and urgent tasks available. Therefore it is also important that you are broadly professionally grounded, as the tasks include parts of all specialties. You are, or will become, a specialist in being a generalist.

The specialty team's primary target group is citizens who live in their own homes and receive home care and/or nursing services. We focus on reducing readmissions and creating security in discharge with preventive and coordinating efforts.

The specialty team also handles tasks in collaboration with the E-hospital, incl. IV medication.

The specialty team's tasks are

  • To provide holistic nursing with a high degree of interdisciplinarity.
  • To perform thorough nursing assessments.
  • To detect subacute issues and initiate preventive actions.
  • To assess potential for rehabilitative interventions and assess the citizen's functional ability in their own home.
  • Nursing tasks such as: medication dosing, medication administration, wound care, palliative interventions, CRP measurement, vital signs measurements (TOBS), INR measurement, enteral feeding tube insertions, fall assessments, safety pathways, acute tasks from general practitioners.
  • Documentation and interdisciplinary coordination constitute a substantial part of the work tasks.

About the specialty team

  • We are a team of 6 nurses and 1 physiotherapist.
  • We work closely with outreach teams, the training unit, the visitation office, home care, the assistive devices team and general practitioners.
  • We stay up to date with the rest of the municipality's health offerings, as we must be able to advise and refer citizens to our colleagues' expertise when we release the citizen.
  • We are physically located in the Health Center and share premises with specialist nurses, nursing management, and nursing operations planners.

We offer

  • Joint introduction of 7 days and thorough training in the specialty team
  • A daily life characterized by many tasks around citizens, though there is room to develop competences and focus on well-being, as we value the work environment highly.
  • High degree of interdisciplinary collaboration. Selected visits are carried out together with a therapist.
  • A good atmosphere with a sense of presence from management to employees and vice versa.
  • A workplace in a small municipality in the middle of Zealand, where it is easy to reach by train, bus and car.

About you

  • You are a trained nurse with a minimum of 3 years of clinical experience
  • You are broadly professionally grounded and preferably with experience in geriatrics, cardiology, emergency department, abdominal/gastrointestinal surgery or COPD.
  • Experience with NEXUS is welcome
  • You are good at communicating orally and in writing with citizens and partners.
  • You place high importance on documentation to ensure continuity for the citizen in daily life.
  • You are a team player, responsible and have an interest in your own and colleagues' shared professional development.
  • You have a driving license

Salary and employment terms

  • The position is 32 hours per week
  • Day and evening shifts as well as weekend work
  • Commencement on December 1, 2026
  • Salary and employment terms are according to the applicable collective agreement and the local salary setting principles.
  • When employed we will obtain a criminal record check

Application deadline: October 23, 2026
