About the job

Do you want to help strengthen the visitation processes, management support and the overall special educational practice in the school and day-care area in Jammerbugt Municipality? Then you are the one we are looking for for a newly created position.

We are seeking a structured and professionally strong consultant who can drive visitation processes in the school and day-care area and at the same time contribute to the development and professionalization of the overall special educational field in Jammerbugt Municipality.

The position should be viewed in light of increasing task pressure in the area and the latest political agreement on special education, which together create a need to develop the effort with the formulation of procedures, better management information and a stronger communication to parents and partners. All with a steady hand in steering visitation processes.

You will become part of a task solution where visitation, daily operations and development of working procedures and pedagogical practice are closely linked. Together with the special educational coordinator and the administration's lawyer, you will have a key role in the work of creating a more professional visitation practice, where tasks become more transparent, well-described and less vulnerable in daily operations.

About the position

The position is placed in the Children and Family Administration, School and Day care, where we work to strengthen the special educational area and at the same time develop inclusive learning environments in both general and special education, so that children and young people in need of support receive the right offer at the right time.

As a consultant, you will have a central role in supporting the visitation work in the school and day-care area. You will, among other things, assist with preparation, coordination, case information, follow-up and quality assurance in connection with visitation and revisitation, including cases of special educational support, special education and relevant offers for children with special needs.

The position also has a clear development track. You will help develop and professionalize workflows, procedures and communication in the area. This includes, for example, administration basis, procedure descriptions, templates, parent communication, collaboration with other municipalities and use of data as a basis for management information.

Your primary tasks

The tasks will develop in line with the area's needs, and you must therefore thrive in a role where operations and development go hand in hand. At the same time, the position can partially be adjusted based on your competencies and experience.

Your tasks will initially be to

  • assist with visitation processes in the school and day-care area, including preparation, coordination and follow-up on cases - in close collaboration with PPR and leadership in schools and day-care
  • ensure the right match so that children and youths are offered relevant services based on professional, pedagogical, legal and financial considerations
  • contribute to developing and maintaining administration foundations, workflows, templates and procedures for visitation work
  • contribute with writing, systematization and professional insight in the development of templates for decisions, support plans, denials etc.
  • support collaboration with other municipalities on school and day-care for placed children
  • support leaders in schools and day-care in questions about special educational interventions, processes and procedures
  • contribute to handling and qualification of parent inquiries and complaint cases
  • support the implementation of new rules, agreements and local procedures in the area, including in relation to the national agreement on absences and special education

We continuously strive to develop the pedagogical area in the municipal special education provisions. Here you will also play a significant role in planning and conducting development activities together with colleagues in the School and Day care as well as PPR.

We value

Your exact educational background is not decisive, but it would be an advantage if you have a relevant pedagogical, psychological, administrative or other related background.

The most important is that you can work systematically, create overview in complex cases and be a trustworthy partner for both leaders, professionals, parents and external partners. Ideally with experience from a municipal context.

We expect that you

  • work structured, independently and with an eye for both details and the whole
  • have strong relational skills and can build trustful collaborations
  • can translate complex issues into clear workflows, notes and decision bases
  • have experience with or interest in special educational interventions, special education and inclusive learning environments
  • understand the interaction between professional assessments, legislation, economy and organizational frameworks
  • have good writing skills and can formulate yourself precisely and understandably
  • have a flair for data, management information and systematic follow-up
  • can work in a politically led organization where several considerations must be balanced
  • have knowledge of the school and day-care area, PPR or authority work, preferably from a municipality
  • thrive in a role where workflows must be developed, described and implemented while operations continue

We offer

Jammerbugt Municipality offers an exciting position with a high degree of independence and responsibility in an organization where collaboration, holistic thinking and professional development are highly valued.

You will have the opportunity to

  • work closely with an area of great importance for children, young people and families
  • contribute to strengthening quality, transparency and compliance in the special educational area
  • support the administration leadership and the political level with relevant knowledge, data and professional insights
  • be part of an engaged administration where tasks are solved across professions and organizational boundaries – no one is left alone with the task.
