About the job

Are you passionate about creating participation and inclusive learning environments for all students? Do you have experience with special education? And would you like to help give the pupils the best start in the early years? Then we have attractive vacant positions as special education teachers in Søholmskolen's primary school.

At Søholmskolen we are looking for someone with a teacher education, a focus on inclusion, and inspiration to help make the early years a wonderful place to be a student. We are looking for one for our kindergarten classes at Toftevang and for our 2nd grade classes at Bistrup. In both places you will become part of a competent team of teachers, pedagogues, and kindergarten class leaders, and you will contribute to the smooth transition to the after-school program (SFO), where your involvement will be on a smaller scale.

We would like you to have experience with inclusion work/co-teaching, to work from defined goals and measures in action plans, and to see yourself in close collaboration with the team, where there are both year group teachers and pedagogues.

You are flexible and ready to adapt and adjust according to the students' needs, and you can therefore work with students in the classrooms or in other rooms where the students can find more calm.

It is essential that you have a resource-oriented approach to children's development, you work from an affirmative view of children, you are calm and have a mentalizing approach to both children, parents and colleagues, and you have good abilities to create positive relationships and spar with colleagues in the work towards an inclusive practice.

In addition, you thrive in a changing daily life, and you want to contribute positively to the development of our primary school, where student and staff well-being must be at the forefront.

You have an eye for the fact that students, with their individual efforts, must at the same time be part of a community, but that it may require practice and learning for all children to be part of the school's community.

What we can offer

We can offer you variable workdays with engaged and positive colleagues at a dynamic and development-oriented school. You will have the opportunity to contribute to the development of the school's shared practices, and you will have a workplace with a focus on well-being and job satisfaction for our staff, as it also benefits the children.

The position can be full-time or a lower number of hours if desired.

About us

Søholmskolen consists of two campuses, Toftevang and Bistrup. The school is located in green areas in Birkerød in Rudersdal municipality and has around 880 students and about 120 staff members.

We aim to motivate students to complete their school journey successfully based on each individual's strengths and abilities. As part of this, we seek to create teaching that engages students and prepares them for the demands and challenges of the future.

Søholmskolen is both new and old, as we are a school formed by the merger of two previously independent schools. So Søholmskolen also embodies the traditions and community of the two campuses, which together in a new and shared form should ensure well-being and closeness for all students.

The school works with an organization in year-group teams, and professional learning communities are a fundamental element of how the school thinks about collaboration. We believe that when we do it together – and when we as professionals are in learning – the good well-being and learning for the students emerges.

Application, interview and contact

If you want to hear more about the positions, or you would like to visit the school and see the primary school, you are very welcome to contact us, just as you are welcome to drop by for a cup of coffee. Contact the head of department for SFO and the kindergarten, Karen-Marie Gorsø at tel. 72684726 or vice principal and department head at Bistrup, Jesper Hviid Andersen at tel. 72684725.
