About Lysningen

Lysningen is part of the Center for Children and Youth Homes in the City of Aarhus and is located at Aarslev Møllevej 19 in Brabrand. We are a children and youth home for children and young people between 6 and 17 years with autism, ADHD and intellectual disability.

Our pedagogical work takes its starting point in each child’s developmental level, needs, resources and perspective. In daily life we focus on creating conditions for social interaction, presence, play and sensory activities.

About the job

As a pedagogue at Lysningen you will be part of a professional community where together we create coherence and development opportunities in the daily lives of the children and young people.

• You will become part of a team that together handles the contact-pedagogue function for 3–4 children and young people.
• In collaboration with the child or the young person and the family you develop individual goals and action plans, which are translated into concrete pedagogical practice in everyday life.
• You will have your own areas of responsibility and participate with colleagues in the practical tasks in the department.
• You will enter into close cooperation with parents, caseworkers, school, psychiatry and other professionals around the child or the young person.

Professionalism and development

For us, professional development must be part of the job. We prioritise a thorough introduction, ongoing professional sparring and competence development. The center has its own instructors, and as a new employee you will within the first years be trained in, among other things, SVS, ATLASS, Studio III and MBSR.

• Is educated as a pedagogue and preferably has experience with the target group
• Can work individually and purposefully in a specialized pedagogical manner with regard to the individual child’s prerequisites and needs
• Thrives in clear and structured frameworks and at the same time can be creative, reflective and curious about whether practice can be done differently
• Can maintain calm, overview and professionalism in situations where children and young people may react powerfully, including with self-harm or outwardly aggressive behavior
• Have a desire to actively contribute to shared professionalism, collaboration and development and can give and receive professional sparring
• Can organize and structure your own time and communicate clearly both orally and in writing
• Can handle tasks related to hygiene and care for the target group
• Meet children, young people, families and colleagues with presence, curiosity and respect

About the positions

We are seeking two pedagogues for permanent full-time positions with an average weekly working time of 37 hours. Working hours are shift-based and include day and evening shifts as well as weekend work every 3rd weekend.

Salary and terms of employment

Salary and terms of employment will be in accordance with the applicable collective agreement with SL in the 24-hour sector. Final salary settlement will take place after negotiation with the bargaining authorized trade union based on qualifications.

The positions are at any time conditional on a satisfactory public criminal record check.

The positions are at any time conditional on a clean child certificate.
