Mynte Thai Cuisine – Copenhagen

Mynte Thai Cuisine is seeking an experienced and professionally strong Thai chef / head of kitchen for our kitchen in Valby, Copenhagen.

We are looking for a cook who has solid experience with Thai cuisine and who can take responsibility for the daily operations, quality, and development of our kitchen.

About the position

As a Thai chef / head of kitchen you will be a central part of our kitchen team and will be responsible for the daily preparation and quality assurance of our Thai dishes.

Your primary tasks will include

• Preparation and quality assurance of Thai dishes according to the restaurant's recipes and standards.
• Responsibility for the daily kitchen operations and coordination of tasks.
• Development and ongoing adaptation of the menu and dishes.
• Work with traditional Thai preparation methods, including wok cooking and proper handling of spices, herbs and other ingredients.
• Planning and efficient use of raw materials.
• Responsibility for self-check, food safety and hygiene in the kitchen.
• Ordering and receipt of ingredients and dialogue with suppliers.
• Training and professional guidance of other kitchen staff.
• Contribute to ensuring a stable and high quality in the kitchen's daily production.

Your qualifications

We expect that you

• Have a relevant chef education or several years of documented professional experience as a chef.
• Have solid practical experience with Thai cuisine.
• Have in-depth knowledge of Thai ingredients, spices, herbs and traditional preparation methods.
• Have experience with wok preparation and other central techniques within Thai cuisine.
• Have experience with planning and coordinating kitchen work.
• Can work independently and take responsibility for the daily kitchen operations.
• Have a focus on quality, hygiene and efficient use of ingredients.
• Can collaborate with other employees in a busy kitchen environment.
• Can communicate in English. Danish is an advantage, but not a requirement.

It is an advantage if you have experience developing or adapting menus and recipes within Thai cuisine.
