Job description

Do you want to put your structural engineering footprint on some of Denmark's most complex industrial and life science projects together with leading technical specialists?

AFRY Industry Buildings delivers services in the design and construction of facilities that support industrial processes such as manufacturing, processing, warehousing or research. We prioritize the Life Science, dairy, food, ingredients and defense sectors.

As a Specialist in Constructions you function as technical reference and sparring partner across projects. You contribute to ensuring high quality in design solutions and support project teams in complex technical decisions. Your responsibilities and tasks will be to

• Provide technical advice on structural designs across projects
• Conduct technical reviews of complex static and structural solutions
• Identify and manage technical risks, interfaces and design challenges
• Support project teams in the selection of construction principles and material solutions
• Contribute to the development of standards, calculation methods, design guides and tools

You will work closely with Design Managers, Discipline Leads, project managers and specialists from, among others, architecture, HVAC, electrical and plumbing to ensure coherent and efficient solutions.

Qualifications

You are an experienced structural engineer (5-10 years, more is welcome) with solid technical competencies and a desire to share knowledge across the organization. In addition, your background consists of

• A degree as Civil Engineer or Diploma Engineer with specialization in structures
• Solid experience with design of steel, concrete and/or precast structures
• Experience with technical quality assurance and design reviews
• Strong understanding of the interaction between structures, installations and industrial processes
• Ability to translate complex technical problems into practical solutions

As a person you thrive on sharing your knowledge and contributing to the development of both people, methods and technical standards.

It is an advantage if you have experience from industry, production, pharma, life science, food or other regulated environments where quality and documentation are crucial.

Work location

AFRY has 9 locations in Denmark. Your fixed base will be at our offices in Herlev, Herning or Aarhus, depending on your residence.
