Specialist Medical Consultants (Psychiatry) for the Danish Labour Market Insurance

Would you like to use your psychiatric expertise to help injured Danes? Would you solve tasks digitally and have plenty of flexibility? Arbejdsmarkedets Erhvervssikring (AES), part of the ATP group, is currently seeking two new psychiatric medical consultant specialists who will help ensure qualified decisions in our cases – and who thrive on working online on their own terms.

At AES we offer a high degree of flexibility. As a medical consultant, the work is primarily digital, which means you can access your tasks whenever it suits you. Only rarely will there be a need for physical attendance to meetings at our office in Hillerød. This position is therefore ideal for you who want freedom to plan your own time. We are currently seeking two psychiatric medical consultant specialists. The positions are 10 hours per week, but with the possibility of increased hours.

At 10 hours per week the annual salary is 278,580.84 DKK at the current level (September 2026) and is adjusted together with the other salary levels in the public sector. Increased working time is compensated accordingly. As a psychiatric medical consultant at AES, you will be an important part of our medical professional team, which currently consists of six skilled psychiatrists. Your primary task will be to help assess psychiatric issues in workers’ compensation cases and private injury claims.

You will therefore play a central role in ensuring that our caseworkers have the necessary medical sparring to make qualified decisions.

Your tasks

In the job, you will be the one who

• provides medical professional advice in the assessment of psychiatric questions in workers’ compensation cases and private liability claims
• prepares written medical assessments
• advises caseworkers on psychiatric issues
• participates in medical meetings and Occupational Disease Committee meetings as needed (mainly online).

Who are you?

We are seeking a specialist in psychiatry who is good at conveying professional assessments in clear and easily understood language. You work independently, objectively and are familiar with digital systems. As part of a small team of psychiatrists it is important that you thrive on collaboration and professional sparring across your colleagues and other disciplines.

At AES you will become part of a unit with about 40 medical consultants, who annually receive over 40,000 tasks from our caseworkers. We provide thorough introduction to our case areas and systems, and you will receive ongoing sparring with your colleagues and participate in relevant medical meetings.
