So here you have the opportunity to become part of a large outpatient clinic with 5 other specialists, 2 special psychologists and training doctors, with whom you can always spar on challenging cases.

You will join a dynamic center where we have a continuous focus on improving our skills to enhance the treatment options for our patients. The position can be filled as both department head or senior physician.

The outpatient clinic has for several years been subspecialized, so teams treat patients with specific diagnoses. This means that the staff have extensive experience with their patient groups and have particular competencies in relation to patient treatment. The outpatient clinic has two psychiatry teams that treat patients who predominantly suffer from schizophrenia.

We have an affective team that handles treatment of depression and bipolar disorder and a team that treats patients with non-psychotic disorders, such as anxiety, personality disorders, ADHD and PTSD. All teams in the outpatient clinic work according to the F-ACT model.

The outpatient clinic has actively worked on implementing assessment and treatment and there are established several group treatment options. There is ongoing competence development of contact persons within DAT treatment and cognitive behavioral therapy. As a specialist you must be able to delegate responsibility and have the desire and ability to participate in planning and leading recovery-oriented, structured programs with close involvement of patients and relatives.

As some of the first in the Capital Region's psychiatry, we began integrated treatment of patients with dual diagnoses (mental illness and substance use) from September 2024. This is something we have looked forward to and prepared for. In the last 2 years we have had a formalized collaboration with Copenhagen Municipality’s substance abuse centers to ensure coordinated treatment of these citizens, so we are already well underway. You will become part of this exciting effort.

What tasks will you have?

You will have a clinical role in our F-ACT team, where your psychiatric specialist competencies will come into play. Here you will work closely with a special psychologist or another specialist in the team. You will also have close collaboration with a team coordinator who handles the daily planning of the team's work. The position is without formal department leadership.

In close collaboration with the team you will have the following clinical tasks

• Carry out assessments, psychopharmacological treatment and possibly referral to other treatment options
• Actively participate in FACT-board meetings
• Admission of new patients including assessment and diagnosis
• Participate in psychoeducation of patients and relatives
• Teaching and supervision of colleagues and junior doctors
• Ensure capacity management in accordance with patient care descriptions
• Ensure continued quality development

About us

The Psychiatric Outpatient Clinic consists of four teams with about 225 patients each. Each team also consists of cross-disciplinary staff such as nurse, occupational therapist, social worker and psychologist.

There is a department leadership for all four teams consisting of chief nurse and leading consultant, and all contact person positions are filled.

Salary and employment terms

Appointment from January 1, 2027 or as soon as possible thereafter.

The position is 37 hours per week. The position includes on-call duties. You will participate either in night on-call or in the Senior Doctor on-call in Front (SIF). Currently, the arrangement is separately remunerated.

Depending on the position, employment will be in accordance with the agreement for senior doctors, including the agreement's provisions on working hours with salary placement as a senior doctor (As a senior doctor in the Capital Region's Psychiatry you are on call), or the agreement for junior doctors, including the agreement's provisions on working hours with salary placement as a specialist doctor.

The region is a 24-hour area, and you will, according to specific needs, be planned for shifts at other times in accordance with the rules in the applicable working hours agreement/working time rules in the agreement.
