About the position
We are seeking an engaged pedagogue or pedagogical assistant for Special School Lolland with employment in SFO.
The position is 37 hours per week and will be distributed between SFO and the school, with about 1/3 of the time in SFO and about 2/3 of the time in the school.
You will become part of a close-knit team with a high degree of influence on how we create the best framework for the children. There is close collaboration between the school and SFO with a focus on coherence, recognisability and well-being for both children and adults.
Special School Lolland is undergoing an organizational change, and from the turn of the year our current four sites will be consolidated into two sites – Nakskov and Maribo units.
We look forward to being together, as this will strengthen the sense of unity even more, create better opportunities for professional sparring and development, and ensure more uniform and stable frameworks for both children and staff.
You will work with children with special needs in both school and SFO settings. The role requires presence, clarity, and the ability to create safe and trusting relationships. We work in a structured and predictable way based on each child’s resources and potential. In the SFO we organize the children into smaller groups to create the best opportunities for participation and to strengthen their social skills.

- Are positive, inclusive and meet the children at eye level
- Can maintain calm and overview – even in a changing everyday life
- Work in an affirming and mentalizing manner in your approach to the children
- Have strong skills in conflict management
- Can create and maintain strong relationships with children, colleagues and parents
- Are clear in your communication and collaborate constructively across
- Can contribute to meaningful activities in both school and SFO
Your professional competencies

- Knowledge of – or interest in working with – Low Arousal, neuroeducation and a neuroaffective approach
- Strong relationship-building skills and ability to create safe learning environments
- Good written and spoken communication skills
- Interest in professional development and knowledge sharing
We offer
- A position of 37 hours per week
