About the job
Are you passionate about supporting students in their educational journey, creating well-being and helping ensure that everyone has the best conditions to complete their education?
Then we have an exciting position for you.
We are seeking a dedicated SPS counselor who can work holistically with student support. This means you will have support in the class, individual 1:1 conversations, and guidance focusing on study and personal mastery strategies.
Our student group is broad and diverse, so you must be able to meet students with different prerequisites, needs and challenges. You will also play an important role in reaching out to students who need support, and in helping to uncover causes of distress and dropout – particularly in the transition from GF2 to the main program.
About the position
As an SPS counselor you will be a central part of our efforts to strengthen well-being, retention and completion of education.
You will work closely with students, teachers and management to ensure that students with special needs receive the right support – academically, socially and personally.
An important part of the role is the outreach. You must therefore be willing to be visible in the students' daily life, make contact and follow up, even when the student does not reach out for help.
You will also contribute to identifying patterns and challenges that can lead to dropout, and help translate your observations and experiences into concrete actions.
Your main tasks
- Carry out SPS guidance and support programs for students with special needs.
- Provide support in teaching and in the students' daily educational environment.
- Work proactively and contact students who show signs of distress, challenges or risk of dropout.
- Contribute to early detection of students at risk of distress or dropout.
- Systematically follow up on student progress and ensure that agreements and actions are followed through.
- Document student progress in accordance with applicable guidelines.
- Work closely with teachers, management and other relevant professionals regarding students' well-being and completion.
- Contribute with knowledge and perspectives that can strengthen the overall effort for retention and completion.
We are looking for someone who
- Has experience with SPS guidance or similar work with student support.
- Is strong in relationship work and can create safe and trusting conversations.
- Wants to work outreach and is not hesitant to contact students themselves.
- Can meet students with respect, curiosity and an eye for their individual situation.
- Works systematically and structured and can translate your knowledge and observations into concrete actions.
- Thrives in a role where you work closely with students and at the same time focus on documentation, follow-up and coordination.
- Is good at collaborating across teams and can engage constructively in dialogue with students, teachers, management and other SPS staff.
- Has an interest in understanding and working with the factors that affect students' well-being, retention and completion.
We offer
- A meaningful position where you make a real difference to students' well-being and their opportunity to complete their education.
- A varied daily life with both direct student contact, guidance, outreach work and cross-functional collaboration.
- A professionally strong environment with dedicated colleagues and management.
- Opportunity to help develop and strengthen our efforts for well-being, retention and completion.
- An employer where relationships, collaboration and the student’s perspective are central.
Does that sound like something for you?
We look forward to hearing from you.

Salary and employment are in accordance with the applicable collective agreement and local agreement with the Education Union (Uddannelsesforbundet).
The employment is with a weekly working time of 37 hours. As a rule, you will work at our Hasselager Allé location, but you must be prepared for the tasks to take place at all four of our campuses. There will occasionally be evening and weekend tasks during the year.
The application deadline is 19/10-2026.
The position is to be filled on 1/12-2026 or by agreement.
