About the job
Do you want to help strengthen the health professional quality in a specialized treatment offering for children and adolescents?
At Nebs Møllegård we are seeking an engaged and professionally strong social and health assistant or nurse who wishes to combine collaboration with the children in the houses with coordination and development of the health professional practice and documentation.
The position is for you who thrive in a cross-disciplinary environment where relationships, treatment, health professionalism and documentation go hand in hand, and who want to contribute to the continued development of our professional quality.
You will have a dual role. Partly a coordinating role, and to be the focal point to ensure quality, procedures and working methods in dialogue. And partly you will be part of the social-professional work in daily life and be at work for about 6 weekends per year.
About Nebs Møllegård
Nebs Møllegård is a specialized treatment facility for children and adolescents with complex social, emotional and developmental challenges.
Our professional foundation is built on
- A systemic and narrative framework.
- A mentalization-based approach.
- An environment-therapeutic tradition.
We see the child as part of the relational systems it is part of, and we work from a fundamental understanding that development and change are created through safe relationships, meaningful storytelling and participation in developmental communities.
We build on the environment-therapeutic tradition, where everyday life is actively used as a treatment space, and where interaction, structure, care, reflection and relationships support the child’s development and wellbeing.
The position consists of two central areas of responsibility.
Social work in the department
You will become part of the daily treatment practice and actively participate in work with children and young people.
Your tasks will among others be to
- Collaborate with the children about daily life in the houses.
- Build and maintain development-supporting relationships.
- Participate in the environmental-therapeutic treatment in everyday life.
- Contribute to structured and safety-creating frameworks.
- Work from systemic, narrative and mentalization-based methods.
- Participate in treatment conferences, status meetings and interdisciplinary discussions.
- Observe and describe development, wellbeing and treatment needs.
- Contribute to treatment plans and goal follow-up.
- Involve family, networks and partners in the treatment work.
Health professional development, quality and documentation
At the same time you will have a special coordinating role in strengthening the health professional effort across Nebs Møllegård.
You will among other things have to
- Contribute to development and preparation of health professional procedures, workflows and annual plans.
- Strengthen quality in medication management and health professional efforts.
- Engage in the health professional cooperation and network around the children.
- Contribute to the implementation of applicable health professional standards.
- Support and provide sparring to colleagues in health professional issues.
- Ensure high quality in health professional documentation, creating good frameworks and guidelines for it.
- Contribute to the coherence between treatment-related observations and health professional assessments.
- Support the development of documentation practice so that descriptions, analyses and evaluations support both treatment and learning.
- Be involved in translating health professional knowledge into concrete everyday actions.
We want to strengthen the link between health professionalism and treatment, so physical, psychological and social conditions are viewed in context and documented systematically.
We are looking for a colleague who
- Is a trained nurse or an experienced social and health assistant.
- Has interest in or experience with working with children and adolescents in vulnerable positions.
- Has an eye for the connection between health, wellbeing, relationships and development.
- Can work in an environmental-therapeutic and systemic/relationally oriented manner.
- Works reflectively and curiously with mentalization in practice.
- Can contribute to the development of professional documentation and quality assurance.
- Is structured yet flexible in a complex everyday life.
- Thrives in interdisciplinary collaborations.
- Can communicate health professional knowledge in a practical and appreciative way.
It would be an advantage if you have experience from the around-the-clock area, social psychiatry, the children and youth area or other treatment institutions.
We offer
- An exciting combined position with both treatment-related and development tasks.
- Opportunity to make a clear mark on the health professional area.
- A workplace with high professionalism and a strong collegial community.
- Ongoing supervision and professional sparring.
- Opportunity for competence development within systemic practice, narrative therapy, mentalization and environmental therapy.
- An values-based work community with focus on reflection, development and quality.
Application
Would you like to help strengthen the health professional perspective in a specialized treatment offering where relationships, mentalization and development are central, we would be very pleased to hear from you.
