We are seeking a social and healthcare assistant for a permanent evening shift at Østervrå Elder Center with work every other weekend.

The position is offered full-time, but if you want a different number of hours, this can be agreed.

A home – and a professional workplace

At Østervrå Elder Center there are 31 permanent residents, and we also have one respite place.

The elderly center is first and foremost the residents' home. Therefore, our work starts from the individual person’s life, wishes, habits and resources.

For us, the relationship is not something that sits beside care – the good relationship is part of the professionalism.

We work with autonomy, rehabilitation and dignity, and place emphasis on good collaboration with both residents and relatives.

An important professional role in the evening shift

As a SSA in the evening shift you will have a central professional role and become an important sounding board for your colleagues.

You will work, among other things, with observation and assessment of residents’ condition, medication management, documentation and other health-related tasks within your area of competence.

The evening is about much more than tasks. It is an important part of residents’ 24-hour lives, where there should be room for security, presence and a good ending to the day.

We do not expect that you know everything. We expect you to be professionally curious, ask when you are in doubt, and share your knowledge with your colleagues.

There is always the possibility to contact an on-call visiting nurse when sparring is needed.
