SSA or nurse sought for 1:1 assignment at a special school in Vallensbæk

Do you have the calm, presence and professional expertise to create a safe school day for a child with extensive support and care needs? Then ActivCare has a meaningful task for you, who wishes to use your health care experience in a close 1:1 relationship.

We are seeking a social- and health care assistant or nurse to a small, stable team around a child in primary school age with a rare genetic condition, microcephaly and deaf-blindness.

The child attends a special school for children with multiple disabilities and has a severely reduced motor, communicative and sensory functioning. Therefore your calm presence, your observations and your professional assessment are decisive throughout the day.

A safe and attentive school day

You accompany the child from home to school and back after school. Along the way you are the constant health care support, ensuring continuity, security and attention to the child's needs.

Your tasks include, among others

• personal care
• transfers, positioning and frequent changes in posture
• observation of respiration and general condition
• close supervision and ongoing assessment of the child's needs
• management of suctioning according to instructions and delegation
• close collaboration with the family, the school and other professionals

This is a 1:1 assignment, where the child cannot be left unattended. You therefore have a central role in creating a stable and safe everyday life.

Is this you we are looking for?

• You are educated social- and health care assistant or nurse.
• You work calmly, responsibly and independently.
• You are professionally curious and have an eye for even small changes in the child’s condition.
• You thrive in a close relationship where stability and trust are important.
• If you have experience with respiratory issues and suctioning, that is an advantage – but not a requirement. You will receive the necessary training so you feel secure and well prepared for the task.

Fixed day shifts on weekdays

• 25 hours per week
• Monday to Friday
• 08:30–13:30
• no evening, night or weekend shifts
