About the job
Become part of a safe and specialized team around a girl in invasive respiratory treatment on fixed day shifts
Do you want to make a meaningful difference for one person every day?
We are seeking an experienced and stable social and health care assistant for a maternity leave position in a respiratory arrangement with a young girl at a residential facility in Slangerup. Here you will have the opportunity to work closely with one resident at a time and create security, presence and quality of life through an important professional effort.
You will become part of a dedicated team where you are responsible for respiratory monitoring and treatment in 1:1 staffing on day shifts. In total 6 day shifts spread over a 6-week rotation.
About the resident
The resident is a young girl with Cerebral Palsy and needs help with all daily activities. She has epilepsy, which is managed by the residential staff.
She does not have a verbal language, but communicates through eye contact and facial expressions. She enjoys activities and an active everyday life, and you will therefore accompany her in various tasks such as:
- Running with a jogging stroller
- Swimming with her parents, where you supervise from the poolside
- Outdoor activities and experiences in the open air
There is no personal care in this arrangement. Your primary task is respiratory treatment, monitoring and handling of the respiratory equipment.

You work on an equal footing with the permanent team and are responsible for
- Respiratory monitoring and invasive treatment
- Observation and handling of respiratory equipment
- Documentation and ongoing observation of the resident's condition
- Collaboration with the residential staff
- Participation in the resident's daily activities and routines
- Creating calm, stability and security during your shifts

- Wish for fixed day shifts
- Are stable, flexible and punctual
- Thrive on working closely with one resident
- Are empathetic, present and patient
- Can maintain overview in pressured situations
- Have experience with respiratory monitoring, or are motivated to learn it
Respiratory treatment and training
The resident is under 24-hour invasive respiratory monitoring and treatment .
We would like you to already hold an invasive certificate from RCØ, but it is not a requirement.
We ensure you are well prepared for the task through
- 6-8 thorough training shifts
- Ongoing sparring in the team
- Subsequent certification via RCØ
Shifts
The position is a maternity leave cover with day shifts in a 6-week rotation on both weekdays and weekends across 6 shifts in 6 weeks.
Day shift: 07:00–19:15
The team is self-sufficient, and it is therefore important that you are flexible and commit to the shifts you take on. Stability is essential for the resident, the relatives and the team.
