We are looking for a social- and health care helper or social- and health care assistant who meets the residents with presence, respect and professional care.

About the position The position is permanent and mainly in day shifts with evening shifts by agreement. The hourly rate is to be agreed further, and one can expect to work every other weekend.

As an employee at Østermarken you will have an important role in the residents' daily lives. Your concrete tasks and your responsibility will be adapted to your education, your competences and the residents' needs.

Duties You will among other things

• perform care and nursing tasks based on the individual resident's needs, wishes and resources
• support residents' quality of life, self-determination and sense of security
• observe changes in residents' physical and mental condition and act in professionally relevant ways
• document and pass on relevant observations
• contribute to structure, recognizability and coherence in residents' daily lives
• collaborate with residents, relatives, colleagues and other professional groups
• take responsibility for your own tasks while contributing to the joint task solving.

We imagine that you

• are trained social- and health care helper or social- and health care assistant
• want to work with elderly people and preferably have experience from the nursing home/elder care sector
• meet the residents with presence, respect and recognition
• are professionally well-founded, stable and responsible
• can work independently while actively participating in a collegial community
• can remain calm and maintain overview when everyday life changes
• are adaptable and flexible
• communicate clearly and cooperate constructively
• contribute positively to the work environment and preferably have a sense of humor.

About Plejecenter Østermarken Plejecenter Østermarken is located in Aars and consists of six living and residential environments. Four departments are somatic, and two are specially arranged for people with dementia.

The staff group includes among others social- and health care helpers, social- and health care assistants, and pedagogues.

We see our different professional backgrounds as a strength. We work closely together and help each other to create the best possible everyday life for the residents.
