About the position

Do you want to sing and be part of a vibrant musical community?

Sct. Mikkels Church is seeking 2 tenors for the church choir. As a tenor you will become part of an active musical environment where you take part in high masses, baptism services, weddings and funerals – as well as weekday services at your own request.

The position provides both stable frameworks and great flexibility, while giving you the opportunity for musical development and participation in larger works such as Handel's Messiah .

Scope of the position

• Sing at Sunday High Mass from 10:00–11:15 with a preliminary choir rehearsal at 9:15 – approximately every other weekend
• Baptism services, funerals and weddings on Saturdays by arrangement
• Funerals and weekday services Monday–Friday at your own discretion

Professional qualifications / prerequisites

• Classical choral experience is an advantage
• Basic skills in sight-reading
• Preferably a classically trained voice
• It is an advantage if you can sing tenor, but most important is your desire and interest in choral singing
• Experience with choral singing or church music is an advantage, but not a requirement
• No requirement for certificates or a driver's license

Personal qualifications

• Reliable and good at collaborating in a choir community
• Curious, engaged and motivated for musical communities
• Wants to develop musically – or try one's hand at choral singing
