About the position

Do you want to sing and be part of a living musical community?

Sct. Mikkels Church is seeking 2 tenors for the church choir. As a tenor you become part of an active musical environment where you participate in high mass, baptismal services, weddings and funerals – as well as weekday services according to your own wishes.

The position provides both a fixed framework and great flexibility, while offering you the opportunity for musical development and participation in larger works such as Handel's Messiah .

Scope of the position

• Sing at Sunday high mass from 10:00–11:15 with an initial choir rehearsal at 9:15 – approx. every other weekend
• Baptismal services, funerals and weddings on Saturdays by arrangement
• Funerals and weekday services Monday–Friday according to your wishes

Professional qualifications / requirements

• Classical choral experience is an advantage
• Basic skills in reading music notation
• Preferably a classically trained voice
• It is an advantage if you can sing tenor, but most important is your desire and interest in choral singing
• Experience with choral singing or church music is an advantage but not a requirement
• No requirement for certificates or driving license

Personal qualifications

• Reliable and good at collaborating in a choir community
• Curious, engaged and motivated for musical communities
• Willing to develop musically – or try your hand at choral singing
