With space for 62 children distributed in a nursery with room for 24 children from 0-3 years, distributed across two rooms. Kindergarten with capacity for 38 children from 4 - 6 years old.

Qeqqata Municipality is seeking a capable and engaged employee. The Education area has as its goal to create curious, robust, healthy and happy children. It is expected that you as an employee and your immediate supervisor focus on achieving these goals.

Work- and responsibility areas

You must be responsible for complying with Inatsisartutlaw no. 62 of 20 November 2023 on pedagogically developmental services for preschool children, and work according to guidelines that can be found on the Qeqqata Municipality website regarding Qeqqata Municipality's political visions, child- and youth policy and pedagogical objectives.

Criminal and Child Certificate

This position is covered by the law on the obligation to obtain criminal and child certificates. According to the law, employment may only commence when the municipality has received satisfactory criminal and child certificates. We must therefore inform you that the start date can only be agreed upon when the municipality has received the child certificate from the Royal Danish Police and the criminal certificate from the Police.

The child certificate is obtained by the municipality with the consent of the person concerned, where the criminal certificate is obtained by the person concerned from the Police.

Salary and terms of employment

Salary and terms of employment are governed by the applicable collective agreement between Naalakkersuisut and Nunaatsmi Perorsaasut Kattuffiat (NPK) and SIK or another relevant negotiating organization.

Start date: to be agreed.

The employment will be with a 3-month probationary period.

Housing

For the position, housing for pedagogues can be allocated, for which a deposit and rent, consumption, etc. are paid according to the applicable rules for rent payments in the Greenlandic Self-Government and municipal properties in Greenland. If permanent staff housing cannot be made available immediately at commencement, temporary vacancy housing will be offered to employees with the right to vacant housing, for which rent, consumption, etc. are paid according to the above.

An arrival trip and moving house furniture will be provided in accordance with applicable rules.
