Staff Member for the Solbakkevej Residential Facility

Do you want to be a meaningful support for adults with developmental disabilities and help make their home at the residential facility a safe place with joy and well-being?

We are looking for a new colleague at the Solbakkevej Residential Facility, which has two houses. Your primary workplace will be in House H. In House H you will become an important support for 8 adults over 18 with a developmental disability and autism spectrum disorder, where some have a psychiatric overlay.

Residents have needs for support regarding communication, personal care, practical tasks and social relationships.

You work relationship-building with residents so they thrive and have a high degree of self-determination and influence. You work resource-focused and based on an acknowledging approach.

You collaborate across disciplines with colleagues who have different social professional backgrounds and provide residents with structure, security and care. We work according to a guiding principle called ”everything with the citizen”. This means that we involve the residents as much as possible in the decisions and activities that concern their own lives.

You will also work closely with guardians and relatives, daytime activities, therapists and case managers to ensure a holistic effort.

It is important that the resident is at the center and has influence on their own life. Therefore it is the individual's needs for well-being and development that form the basis for how you plan the work in the collaboration.

Therefore you must also be investigative and curious in your way of meeting the residents to understand each individual's needs, so he/she can thrive and develop as well as possible.

Flexibility in your work plan: The position is 37 hours in day, evening shifts and every 3rd weekend.

We want a colleague who

• Is trained as a pedagogue, occupational therapist, nurse, social and health assistant or has a similar social professional education
• Is clear in communication – both verbally and non-verbally
• Is good at reading other people and their needs
• Has good collaborative skills and sees the value of interdisciplinary solutions
• Can work independently and show initiative and commitment
• Has a driver's license

It is an advantage if you have experience with psychiatry, autism spectrum disorders and medication management, but we also provide thorough training.
