Staff sought for 1:1 assignment with a 10-year-old boy in Copenhagen

About the task

You become support for a 10-year-old boy with infantil autism and severe developmental impairment. He communicates nonverbally and needs a calm and predictable daily life with familiar routines.

The boy has no mobility function and uses, among other things, a wheelchair, a ceiling lift and a care bed. Your task is to create safe, secure surroundings around him and support him in daily activities and routines.

You will, among other things, be working with

• sensory-stimulating activities and interaction at his pace
• support during meals and personal care
• medication management and use of assistive devices

You will be thoroughly trained by the parents and will start independently only when the relationship with the boy is well established. The family emphasizes a safe and inclusive collaboration, where you will have the opportunity to get to know the boy and his needs well.

About you

You have a health care or pedagogical educational background. It is advantageous if you have experience with children with extensive support needs.

You work calmly and compassionately and are eager to build a trusting relationship with the boy.

As part of the employment you will complete e-learning in epilepsy and medication management as well as an attendance first aid course.

Working hours

We are seeking 1-2 employees to cover the following shifts

• Every other Saturday and Sunday from 09:00-19:00, either in even or odd weeks.

In addition, there is a possibility of a fixed weekday shift from 16:00-20:00. Which weekday the shift is placed on will be agreed with the family.
