Stand-in for weekend night shift

Can you handle 2000 degrees on weekend night?

Working hours are Friday evening from 19:30 to Saturday morning 08:15 and Saturday evening from 21:05 to Sunday morning 09:50.

We are busy and therefore are looking for an assembler on our weekend night shift.

The Role

As an assembler with us you will become part of a team where safety, quality and precision are the foundation. We cover many technologies, but for this position your day-to-day will unfold in our Thermal Spraying where you will need to understand gas pressure, cooling water systems, and metal powder that adheres to the workpieces at 400 m/s and on the good side of 2000 degrees, while ensuring that quality is top-notch and that we detect faults before they go off track.

We look after each other and across all departments it is us who ensure that the workpieces are handled correctly, and that the products meet our sky-high quality standards through thorough measurement and inspection.

We are looking for a steady team player with an industrial mindset who thrives on and can work independently.

Your key success criteria are

• Full dedication to the team: As this is a weekend night shift, it is an unconditional requirement that you are 100% dedicated to the role with us and do not see it as a side job and therefore have work elsewhere. Rest and focus are prerequisites for us to produce subjects of sublim quality in a safe and prudent manner. Therefore it is also a term of employment in your contract. In return you have free and fully available time on the other days of the week to recharge, nerd on projects/hobbies, become a master at knitting, or take care of family life.
• Technical competencies: Your professionalism is high, you understand (and enjoy) to dive into complex processes and you come with a background as a mechanical technician, plastics maker, toolmaker, mechanic or similar professional education. Your hands are well skilled, and you are able to troubleshoot, assist with faults and adjust the equipment. If you have experience from the metal industry it is certainly an advantage!
• Quality through care: You respond quickly if you notice faults. You know that the difference between "not OK" and "world-class" lies in the detail (we measure in microns here in the shop), and you do not compromise on either safety or quality.
• Independence and overview: You take ownership of your machines, output, quality and processes. You stay calm when it is busy, and you are comfortable using IT and tablets as a natural part of your workday.
• A strong team player: You share "best-practice" with your colleagues and contribute to a good atmosphere. You understand that we are mutually dependent on each other to achieve the goal. Both in terms of technique, good camaraderie, quality and not least output.
