About the job
We are looking for colleagues across the country to raise awareness and recruit members for charitable organizations such as Save the Children Denmark, Danish Society for Nature Conservation, Amnesty International, Danish Refugee Council, Oxfam, and Red Cross.
You can use your speaking talents in a job where you gain practical experience in communication and sales – and develop personal skills you can take with you into your career.
You work independently, plan your own work days, and receive a fixed hourly wage plus a bonus when you achieve results.
About the job
As a fundraiser you go door to door and meet potential members in a conversation at their home. Your task is to build trust, make the cause relevant, and get more people to support the organization through a membership.
You will encounter interest, busyness, skepticism and rejection – and a lot of dogs.
You become better at listening, understanding different types of people, adapting your communication, and guiding a conversation toward a decision.
The job offers a lot of freedom, flexibility, and fresh air, while also requiring courage and commitment. You often hear no and must be able to move on to the next door with the same energy and courtesy.
You decide yourself which days you work and how much, as long as it is between 12 and 37 hours per week.
Before you start, you go through a training course where you learn conversation techniques, dissemination, handling of different situations, and the most important guidelines and rules. Your team leader follows you with ongoing sparring and support.
We offer
- A flexible part-time or full-time job of 12–37 hours per week
- Fixed base salary of 150 DKK per hour + hourly and performance-based bonus
- Minimum 206.25 DKK per hour including commission – potential to double or more
- Flexible shifts on weekdays 12–20 and on weekends and holidays 10–18
- Thorough onboarding and ongoing sparring from your team leader
- Practical experience with pitching, conversation technique and sales
- Work with meaning, helping to strengthen charitable organizations
About you
You don’t need fundraising experience – willingness and eagerness to learn are more important. The job fits well alongside studies, in a gap year, or as a flexible full-time job.
We are looking for someone who
- has good speaking abilities, social skills, and situational awareness
- thrives on talking to people you don’t know
- meets people with empathy, respect, and credibility
- has courage, will, and high commitment
- dares to put themselves out there and can handle a “no”
- can work independently, purposefully, and steadily
- is motivated by concrete results – beyond the good cause
- wants to develop themselves in communication, sales, and understanding people
From one of our fundraisers
”I have learned to structure my own workday, work purposefully, and communicate with many different people. It is a flexible job where you get fresh air and concrete results to aim for, support along the way, and experiences you can take with you into the future.”
Mohamad Noma, campaign assistant
