Sterilization Assistant for the Aarhus Dental Service

Do you want to help make a difference to dental health in Aarhus for the city’s children and young people as well as the most vulnerable citizens at Voksentandplejen?

You will become part of a strong team, and together with competent colleagues, you will work to give children and young people of all ages, and adult patients with special needs, a chance for good dental health. We collaborate across Voksentandplejen and in Børne- og Ungdomstandplejen, where we share central sterilization. We perform all forms of dental treatment.

Tandplejen Aarhus is seeking a sterilization assistant for our new large dental clinic Trælasten.

Your profile

• You are trained as a sterilization assistant, social and health care assistant, or another relevant health professional background, e.g., clinic assistant.
• Experience with sterile production and possibly clinical work.
• Focus on hygiene, accuracy and quality.
• You have good physical fitness, reliability, and the ability to work in an active environment.
• You are good at collaborating, have a positive attitude and a desire to work closely with the other professional groups in the Dental Service.
• You have knowledge of the National Infection Hygiene Guidelines for dental clinics. (NIR)

Your tasks

• Safe and correct reprocessing of medical equipment for dental clinics.
• Cleaning, disinfection and inspection of instruments.
• Packaging and sterilization of reusable equipment.
• Handling, storage, distribution and replenishment of sterile articles.
• Assessment of instrument function and maintenance.
• Documentation and quality assurance in traceability systems.
• Other incidental tasks that support the clinic’s operations.

Salary and employment terms

Permanent position, minimum 25 hours per week.

Start date by agreement.

Salary and terms will be in accordance with the applicable collective agreement. Final salary setting will be negotiated with the negotiating trade union based on qualifications.

When employed by Aarhus Municipality, a general probation period of three months applies.
