Storstrøms Prison is seeking an electrician who can deliver good service, is thorough, solution-oriented, and enjoys a varied daily routine

Storstrøms fængsel is a versatile and exciting workplace where all staff every day undertake a society-important task. We are looking for you who prefer to work in a well-functioning team, which is flexible and quality-conscious.

You will be employed in the technical department, where we maintain Storstrøm prison's buildings. You will join a team of four colleagues who are among others trained electricians, plumbers, where you help each other across professional boundaries.

You should be able to see yourself in a versatile job, where we occasionally have to drop what we are doing to solve an urgent task. You have great influence on your own daily life and the prioritization of tasks.

For the right candidate there will in time be an opportunity to train as a foreman/master craftsman (værkmester), which after completing the training will mean that you can, among other things, teach inmates on AMU courses within the trade area, just as you can help employ inmates.

About the Job

• Maintenance and repair of electrical systems
• Establishment of new installations
• Reporting in Dalux
• Contact with external suppliers
• Project lead for projects involving electrical work
• Ordering of materials
• Assisting with ad hoc tasks.

We expect that you

• Are a trained electrician
• You can be either newly trained or have several years of experience as a skilled electrician
• Have a driver's license (B)
• Can work in the Office suite at a normal user level
• Knowledge of Dalux is an advantage, but not a requirement
• Speaks and writes Danish.

Salary and terms of employment

Employment and pay are in accordance with the General Collective Agreement between the Ministry of Finance and Public Employees' Organizations - the state sector (OAO-S general agreement) as well as the Organisation Agreement for Craftsmen and Technicians in the state. The working time is 37 hours per week on weekdays, and all meetings at 07:00.

The position is to be filled on 1 December 2026 or as soon as possible thereafter.

Employment area is Denmark's Prisons.

Workplace is Storstrøm Prison, Blichervej 1, 4840 Nr. Alslev.

If you are already employed as a civil servant in the state, there will be an opportunity to retain your civil servant appointment.
