About the position

Cybersecurity is a strategic priority for the Agency for Financial Management, because our systems support the entire state and contain central data that is vital for the state’s daily operations. Therefore, we have a special responsibility to protect both information and society-critical functions against digital threats.

You will become a central part of the security leadership at the Agency for Financial Management and will, as strategic coordinator, be responsible for creating overview, coherence and progress across security efforts. You will help management prioritize between important tasks, translate strategic objectives into concrete actions and ensure that security work supports the organization’s overall goals.

You will also become part of the existing security team and will have to solve and be the technical expert on a number of own tasks – usually in collaboration with relevant partners across the organization.

A significant part of the role consists in creating common understanding and direction across the organization. You will therefore work closely with management, system owners, security officers and technical specialists to find solutions that are robust, pragmatic and organizationally sustainable.

You will become part of an organization where security must work in practice. Therefore, the job rarely involves saying no. It is about helping the organization find solutions that simultaneously support security, operations, innovation and user needs. You will often find yourself in the crossfire between compliance, technology, leadership and business.

About you

• can create progress in complex tasks without necessarily having formal mandate.
• are skilled at translating complex security challenges into clear decision proposals and concrete actions.
• have experience with or an interest in bringing management competencies into play in cross-functional coordination
• thrive on balancing different considerations and finding solutions when security, user-friendliness, innovation and operations pull in different directions.
• have experience with information security and a good familiarity with for example ISO 27001, NIS2 and technical minimum requirements, but view standards and requirements as a means to create better security — not as an end in itself.

We particularly emphasize that you are curious, collaborative and solution-oriented. You understand that the best security solutions are rarely created alone, but through dialogue, involvement and shared ownership.

You will be employed in the Office for New Solutions and Security, which is centrally located in the Agency for Financial Management. We work as part of the Ministry of Finance’s group for an efficient and coherent state. We think across and build common solutions that make it easier for institutions to solve their core tasks. Conditions of employment

You are employed as a Chief Consultant according to the current collective agreement for academics in the state.

It is a condition of employment that you can obtain security clearance and subsequently maintain the clearance throughout your employment period. In connection with the recruitment, you will be asked to submit a private criminal record, which you can obtain via www.politi.dk, or by appearing in person at your local police station. The area of employment is the Ministry of Finance with its associated institutions, currently the Ministry of Finance’s department, State Administration, State IT, the Agency for Financial Management and the Employee and Competence Agency.
