At the Dean's Secretariat at the Faculty of Health Sciences (SUND) we are seeking a skilled, engaged and experienced strategic advisor who is passionate about innovation, collaboration and developing value-creating solutions for the health service and society at large.

As a strategic adviser you will be a central sparring partner for the Vice-Dean for Research and Innovation and will play a key role in developing the faculty's innovation efforts. You will support management through qualified advice, coordination, project management and strategic development work, while contributing to strengthening relationships with a broad range of internal and external partners.

You will be part of an ambitious and well-functioning Dean's Secretariat, where we work closely together to create the best possible conditions for the faculty's development.

The position is full-time and should be filled as soon as possible and no later than 1 January 2027.

About the position

Innovation is an important part of SUND's ambition to translate research and education into value for the health service and society. The faculty participates in a number of strong regional and national collaborations, and as a strategic advisor you will play a central role in supporting and further developing these activities.

You will work in the intersection between innovation, industry collaboration and strategic management support. The tasks range from analysis and development of new initiatives to coordination of partnerships, meeting support, analyses and implementation of concrete actions.

Your primary tasks will be to

  • Support the dean and especially the Vice-Dean for Research and Innovation through analyses, decision materials, presentations, talking papers, case material and strategic notes.
  • Advise on the development of SUND's innovation efforts and contribute to translating national and international trends within innovation and life science into concrete initiatives.
  • Contribute to strengthened collaboration between the faculty, AAU Innovation and external actors within life science, health innovation and entrepreneurship.
  • Contribute to the development of the faculty's innovation profile nationally and internationally.
  • Plan, coordinate and follow up on strategic dialogues between faculty leadership, institutes and internal as well as external collaborators.
  • Manage the secretariat support for selected innovation-related collaborations, networks, steering groups and partnerships.
  • Contribute to the strategic work with securing external innovation funding.
  • Contribute to analysis, documentation and dissemination of the faculty's innovation and knowledge dissemination activities.

Competencies

We are seeking an advisor with a master's degree, experience in strategic development, management support and project management within the field of innovation.

It is an advantage if you have experience from the university sector or other knowledge-intensive organizations, health innovation and/or life science.

However, the most important is that you want to work strategically with innovation in a management secretariat and can create results through collaboration.

To succeed in the position we expect that you

  • Have strong analytical skills and can translate complex issues into usable decision proposals and management support.
  • Have strategic understanding and interest in innovation, research and the interplay between university and the outside world.
  • Work independently, in a structured manner and have an eye for both detail and the bigger picture.
  • Are a skilled project manager who can create momentum in complex development processes.
  • Thrive in collaboration with many different stakeholders and are able to build trusted relationships.
  • Have political acumen, good judgment and can navigate safely in a complex organization.
  • Communicate clearly and precisely both verbally and in writing in Danish and English.
  • Are a team player who actively contributes to a positive collegial community and a good working environment.
