On behalf of Kim Johansen Transport Group, Randstad is seeking a proactive, honest and structured Workshop Manager for the headquarters in Greve. The company is one of Denmark's leading providers of time-sensitive goods transport, and with 950 employees and 450 trucks in an international group, there is always plenty of activity.

In day-to-day operations you report directly to the Fleet Manager. The workflows and culture on site are direct and solution-oriented, where honesty, accountability and transparency are highly valued. Here you play with open cards and share responsibility, even when things do not go exactly as planned.

about the job and your daily life

Rather than performing hands-on work on the workshop floor, your core task is to lead and allocate the work, maintain an overview and tie the logistics together. You will have the managerial and operational responsibility for 8 experienced mechanics

your primary tasks will include

• Daily leadership, assignment of tasks and wellbeing for the mechanic team.
• Planning and coordination of the workshop's tasks, e.g. when trucks and trailers need to be prepared for inspection or have damages repaired.
• Coordination and ordering of spare parts for the workshop.
• Ongoing communication with the office about logistics and resources for the various vehicles.
• Quality assurance of the work performed, ensuring the company's high standards are maintained.

To ensure you get the best possible start, a thorough introduction will be arranged. In the initial period there will naturally be a focus on getting to know the mechanics, their competencies and daily life on the shop floor. At the same time you will be thoroughly trained in the systems – including Office 365, the GPS system MapON and the transport system ETMS – by your highly competent colleagues in the office.

To be successful in the role you need a broad overview and the ability to bring structure to a daily life that can change quickly. Adaptability is a crucial parameter, as a laid plan may be changed if it serves the goal best. .

Your background can be diverse. Perhaps you have solid experience in the industry as a foreman, a background as a mechanic with leadership flair, or perhaps you come from a role as dispatcher/shipper with a good technical understanding of trucks and trailers. Regardless of your exact background, we are looking for a robust profile that has the experience to remain calm and maintain an overview in pressured situations.

• Is pragmatically minded – you are able to navigate and use professional, sound methods to keep operations running smoothly.

• Has a flexible approach to your workday (typically starting at 07:00), where the task and not the clock determines when you achieve the goal.
• Is receptive to feedback, knows your own limitations and keeps a smile – even when things are moving fast.
• Speaks and writes Danish and English.
