About the job
Every day, international companies, authorities, and organizations publish large amounts of information in the form of reports, press releases, technical descriptions, and product news.
Therefore we are looking for two students , who want to help develop the next generation of digital analysis and decision-support tools.
You will become part of Digital Innovation Team – a small development team where software development, AI, and data visualization go hand in hand, and where your ideas can quickly become solutions that are used in practice.
About us
The Danish Defence Drone Center is a joint service unit under the Special Operations Command. The Drone Center’s purpose includes driving experience gathering, development, and training, thereby bringing drone technology into all domains of the Defence. The center shall also ensure a strengthened dialogue with industry, civilian educational institutions, and international partners.
About the position
As part of the Digital Innovation Team you will develop software that helps users translate large amounts of information into usable knowledge.
You will, among other things, be involved in developing solutions that can
- automatically monitor websites, APIs, and other data sources
- collect and structure information from many different sources
- apply AI to translate long reports and news into short, actionable decision briefs
- develop dashboards, interactive maps, and visualizations that give users a quick overview
- automate analysis and reporting tasks
- develop and test new digital prototypes that automatically collect, analyze, and visualize information, in close collaboration with users
We are not looking for two identical profiles. Your tasks will be adapted to your competences and interests, and we expect that you as a team complement each other. Perhaps you are most interested in software development, data visualization, or AI – the most important thing is that you want to build solutions that are used.
About you
We imagine that you
- are studying at either bachelor or master's level
- are studying for example Artificial Intelligence, Software Technology, Software Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, game development and learning technology, or another relevant education
- can program and want to develop your competencies
- are curious, take initiative, and are motivated by solving complex problems
- thrive in collaboration and want to translate ideas into concrete solutions
You do not need to know it all from day one. The most important is that you are keen to learn and to help develop digital products that create value.
As part of the recruitment process, selected candidates will be invited to solve a smaller practice-oriented case. Here you will have the opportunity to show how you translate a problem into a digital solution – for example through data collection, AI, visualization, or a simple dashboard.
We offer
At the Defence Drone Center you will be part of a development environment where you get the opportunity to work with modern software development, AI, and data visualization in practice.
Among other things we offer
- great freedom and responsibility from day one
- opportunity to develop products with real application
- sparring with specialists in software development, AI, data analysis, and drone technology
- flexible working hours of about 10 hours per week
- opportunity to combine work at the Defence Drone Center with remote work when tasks permit
- a strong professional environment where ideas can quickly be turned into prototypes and finished solutions
You will gain practical experience in developing digital analysis tools, dashboards, automation, and AI-assisted solutions – experience that gives you a strong footing for a future career in both the Defence and civilian tech sectors.
