Student Assistant for Guldborgsund Municipality's Ukraine Collaboration

Do you want to work with international projects, youth and the cooperation between Denmark and Ukraine?

Guldborgsund Municipality is seeking an engaged student assistant for our International Office with a particular focus on two Ukraine projects (youth and energy). The position is about 10 hours per week with the possibility of more hours in periods.

About the job

Guldborgsund Municipality has since 2020 collaborated with Ukrainian municipalities on local development, democracy and green transition. As one of seven Danish municipalities, we participate in the Danish-Ukrainian municipal cooperation under Denmark's Ukraine Fund.

An important part of our Ukraine cooperation are projects that strengthen young people's engagement in local development and democratic communities in Ukraine. We also work to create dialogue, learning and exchange of experiences between young people and stakeholders in Denmark and Ukraine. Another important part concerns energy planning in Ukrainian municipalities.

As a student assistant, you will become part of this work with a focus on communication, coordination and collaboration with Danish and Ukrainian partners.

You will join the International Office in the Center for Policy & HR.

Your tasks

• Coordination of activities and collaboration with Danish and Ukrainian partners
• Assist with the planning of workshops, study visits, events and delegations
• Communication through news, posts, presentations and information material
• Contribute to the website and social media
• Research and information gathering
• Practical and administrative tasks related to the Ukraine projects
• Participation in meetings and follow-up on activities

• Are curious, proactive and good at building relationships

It would be an advantage if you have knowledge of Ukraine, the Ukrainian language and cultural conditions.

Salary and terms of employment

Salary according to the collective agreement. Working hours are about 10 hours per week with the possibility of more hours in periods. The position is limited until 31 December 2027.

The workplace is Guldborgsund Municipality's Town Hall in Nykøbing F.
