About the job
Your Social Entrance Children Amager (DSI Amager) is one of five child-family units within Your Social Entrance under the Social Administration in the City of Copenhagen.
DSI Amager is a large and diverse workplace with about 230 employees, who solve tasks within administration, case processing, measures and counseling. We work purposefully to create an insisting and trustworthy collaboration with vulnerable children and young people, their families and networks. It is crucial for us that the case processing lives up to both legal requirements and good administrative practice. We meet citizens as equals, with respect and at eye level – and we ensure that tasks are solved promptly and within the set frameworks.
DSI Amager is located in newly renovated, modern premises on Lyongade. Here we work in open office environments without individual offices – everyone is part of a community with 6-8 colleagues, where collaboration and knowledge sharing are a natural part of everyday life.
Are you our new student assistant?
As a applicant for the student assistant position, you must be enrolled in a relevant social work education (for example social worker or social educator) and have at least one year left of your studies.
We are looking for several new student assistants, as several of our current ones are about to graduate. As a student assistant you will be part of a team of a total of 12 student assistants who help across the entire house with various ad hoc tasks – e.g. access to case files, minutes, meeting invitations, preparation of decisions and other administrative tasks.
You will be assigned to one of our three authority departments: Strengthened Reception, Child Life or Adolescent Life.
We expect that you
- can work independently and, when needed, can seek support to solve tasks
- can work structurally
- have a good familiarity with IT at user level and are good at written documentation
We can offer you
- a job with a high degree of independence, influence and responsibility
- a focus on professionalism, ethics and the child's legal protection
- training regarding the individual tasks
- an environment that is attentive to the well-being of the individual
- a workplace with room to breathe and space for good humor
- a monthly meeting in the student assistant team with the coordinator
Salary and employment terms
The positions are to be filled on January 1, 2027 or by agreement. In addition, there will be an intro day on January 5, 2027, which you must be able to attend.
The working hours will be between 12-15 hours per week by mutual agreement.
Salary and employment conditions for student assistants are in accordance with the City of Copenhagen’s rules applicable to students employed in office work. It is a prerequisite that you are an active student and can document that you are enrolled at a higher education institution. Therefore we ask you to upload a confirmation of registration showing that you are study-active and when you expect to complete your studies (your study site can help you obtain the document digitally).
Along with a motivated application, we ask you to upload a CV, proof of study activity and any references. Before employment, we will obtain a child protection and criminal record check.
