About the job

If you are studying an engineering degree and would like to give high school students an insight into the everyday life of a student, we would love to hear from you!

We are looking for good study communicators who can handle various communication tasks aimed at high schools and potential students in general. You will be a part of a shared Visiting Service for the engineering programs. Your tasks will primarily be activities aimed at high school visits to your own program, but there will also be tasks across the engineering institutes (U-days, Open House, Study Internship etc.). The work is paid by the hour, and the working hours are very varied. If you already have a student job, the job can often be comfortably combined with this.

Send a brief application and your CV.

Start date is January 1, 2027 with duration until the completion of the degree.

The tasks include, among others

  • Being a tour guide and host during high school visits and similar
  • Hosting academic workshops for visiting high school classes and helping develop the content
  • Giving presentations about your education (in person and online)
  • Talking about your education at open house events
  • One-on-one matching with high school students who would like to try being a student for a day

And a fair bit more. We are actively developing the area, and your input is also welcome.

We offer

  • A study-relevant job where you gain experience with communication and the opportunity to inspire others to study an engineering degree at Aarhus University
  • A communication course where you are equipped to welcome the visitors
  • Opportunity to develop yourself as a communicator during your studies

We expect

  • That you are an engineering student at the Faculty of Technical Science (Aarhus)
  • That you have a desire to communicate
  • That you are responsible, friendly and approachable

Working hours and location

You will be contacted about tasks as they arise. As a rule there are no tasks in July, in the early part of August, or in December. The working hours per month will vary, and there can be months with 0 hours, i.e., anywhere from 0 to 10 hours per month may occur. The workplace is generally at your educational site.

Employment location

The employment location will be at the Admissions Course and high school–oriented activities. If you have further questions about the job, you can contact the high school coordinator Hans Jørgen Hansen ([email protected]) or the Recruitment and Start of Studies coordinator Anne-Mette Mikkelsen ([email protected]).

Deadline

All applications must be received no later than October 23, 2026.

Formalities

Employment is in accordance with the collective agreement for student instructors at universities, etc., concluded between the Ministry of Taxation and the National Association of Student Employees and the Association of Danish Medical Students.

You must be an active student and document that you are enrolled at a higher educational institution.

Aarhus University will be an attractive and inspiring workplace for all and aims for a culture where each individual can develop and flourish. We see equality and diversity as a resource and therefore encourage all interested to apply.
