UCN Hjørring and Hjørring Municipality collaborate to offer relevant study jobs to all interested nursing students at all semesters throughout the entire program.

In a study job you will have the opportunity to acquire relevant clinical practical experience, with

basic health and nursing tasks, which you can continue to develop theoretically and practically in your studies.

Prerequisites for guaranteeing a study job?

Hjørring Municipality guarantees you as a nursing student at UCN Hjørring a relevant

study job, already from the 1st semester.

It is not necessary that you have experience from the health and nursing field when applying for a study job. When you start in the study job, the department head ensures that you receive an individual introduction and training. During the introductory period, the department head holds a start-up interview with you, where among other things your experience and competences are assessed in relation to working at an elderly center.

If you are interested in a study job, Hjørring Municipality expects that you as a nursing student are approachable, cooperative and reliable in attendance.

What is offered?

There is an option for a study job arrangement in day, evening and night shifts, primarily on weekends, holidays and during vacation periods, taking into account your education program.

The number of hours is agreed individually, based on what fits best for you and your studies.

In a study job you will continuously have the opportunity to acquire and develop professional competencies.

During semesters 1-3 you work, for example, with basic health and

nursing tasks such as personal care, medication delivery, etc. After semester 4 you work with competencies corresponding to the holistic care and clinical nursing tasks of the social and health assistant, though without the authorization responsibility.

Salary and terms of employment are set according to the applicable collective agreement.
