Who is Cand?

Cand creates development opportunities at the intersection of students and companies. We hire students from many different education programs, and it is for both bachelor- and master’s students. The internship

In this internship you will help our partner develop and maintain integrations that ensure an efficient data flow between the company’s internal systems as well as customers and suppliers. You get a hands-on role, where you work with SQL, data formats and system integrations and help develop solutions that support the company’s digital business processes. The role gives you the opportunity to dive into technical problems, translate your knowledge into practice and gain valuable experience with integrations and automation in an international company.

Your tasks

• Develop and maintain integrations between internal and external systems
• Work with SQL for extraction, processing and structuring of data
• Work with data formats such as JSON, XML and CSV
• Support data exchange between the company, customers and suppliers
• Contribute to automation of business processes through integrations
• Troubleshoot and optimize existing integrations
• Collaborate with IT & Digital on development of new technical solutions

The company

In the internship you become part of a large and exciting international trading and distribution company that supplies steel and metal products to industry and the construction sector. The company has a strong focus on digitalization, data and the development of IT solutions that create value across the organization. You become part of the IT & Digital department, where you join a professionally strong team of 12 colleagues with a focus on integrations, system development and data, and where you receive close coaching from experienced specialists.

The company has over the past 8 years employed more than 13 Cand students, of whom several have afterwards continued in full-time positions. You will therefore become part of an organization with extensive experience in developing young talents and creating good development opportunities. Your base will be at the head office in Skanderborg.
